No, indie is lawful good, he kills the enemy for the purpose of his country or defense for is country. I think i have the best one. Neutral good seems to fall under those willing martyrdom for the greater good, rather than self serving desire.

In Crystal Skull he says that he does later go on to fight in WWII, but during the first three movies the only thing that pits him against the Nazis are trying to find artifacts for his own museum. In The Last Crusade he's fine with Hitler having the diary, he wants to go save Brody, but his father makes him think about the greater good and stopping the armies of darkness. It also takes place before WWII, when everyone was just trying to appease Hitler and didn't want to start shit. No one thought there was going to be another World War.

Yes, but those artifacts if found by the Nazi's could harm the United States or hold precedence over any other country. My head isn't working for me right now, so i can't argue effectively, i think I'm broking. So my apologies if i am coming of moronically.

But he's hired to find the Ark, and he and Brody gloat over what that can mean for their research, and of course bragging rights.

Please notice I'm trying to side step Temple Of Doom, that awful awful movie, but I don't think the Kali worshippers posed any threat to America.

Oh, forgot about that movie... Yeah, your probably right, i just figured Indie to be a Crusader, thus He'd fall under lawful good.... Notice how we are totally having a nerd argument, I haven't done anything like this since a Samus vs. Master Chief board two years ago.

Im Chaotic Neutral.

Its funny... throughout my life, Ive progressed from Lawful Good, to Neutral Good, to Chaotic Good, to Chaotic Neutral.

Is my next step the devolvement into Chaotic Evil?

I could see myself as a gnoll....

Man, wikipedia doesn't know what Chaotic Neutral is either.

Jack Sparrow is not Chaotic Neutral, he's Chaotic Good. He just PRETENDS to be Chaotic Neutral.

Good 'ol Al Swearigen also isn't Chaotic Neutral, he's Neutral Evil, he just also happens to be an anti-hero.

Friggin' TWO-FACE is Chaotic Neutral, as he bases whether to kill or not on Chance. DREAM is probably Chaotic Neutral as well, as his morality is so foreign to us we can't really understand it.

Man, fuck Wikipedia.

You nerd. I'll have to take your word for it, only watched the first Pirates of the Caribbean once, and none of the sequels. Never saw Deadwood.

Okay, so far we've established that gnetters are mostly chaotic, mostly neutral, and there is one among us who is not a virgin.

You REALLY need to watch Deadwood. It's friggin' AMAZING.

Like Shakespeare amazing.

The people who wrote the book that catalogs those alignments just seemed to arbitrarily assign them based on a character's popularity and really didn't delve into the characters real morailty.

Al Swerigen kills children and wipes out whole families to enrich himself, but He does have some admirable qualities and follows something of a code. He also actively works for order so that he can more easily rob everyone around him.

Definitely not lawful, but also certainly not Chaos incarnate.

The Joker is Chaotic Neutral.

The Joker is Chaotic Neutral with the focus being on Chaos. Another type of Chaotic Neutral would be someone who's closer to True Neutral, but less organised and is repulsed by the idea of organisation, both at the macro level (partaking in society) and the micro level (their own thoughts). I'd say the Joker is somewhat borderline between Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Evil, since he's not only repulsed by society (and wishes its destruction), but also actively enjoys torturing and murdering innocents.

I'd put the Joker down as Chaotic Evil, depends on the writer I guess but I can't see a Chaotic Neutral doing the pencil trick for kicks. Or crippling Barbara Gordon. Or throwing Harley Quinn out a window because she nearly killed Batman without him. Or killing his girlfriend because he got bored.

And from the sound of it, wouldn't Swerigan be Lawful Evil? In that he follows a code, works for order, but because it can benefit him and makes it easier to exploit others.

Lawful=prizing order, and opposing chaos, rather than following the law. They really ought to rename it.

Joker is somewhat a special case, he has multiple personalities.

...and that is what happen when one character is used by lots of writer.
