Is the backpack for the wedding or just the dress?

I think you're confusing backpack with parachute.

Someone should write a book on the etiquette of emoticons. There's someone on my facebook who uses them after every sentence, and I often worry, "Am I using "XD" far too often?" and last month I caught myself thinking "is it too early in the relationship to use <3 in our text messages?"

The problem with etiquette is that it assumes the same rules apply to all people at all times. Not necessarily so. You are a person who has demonstrated a reasonable grasp of common sense. Trust your gut.

It saddens me to learn that four time Emmy winner and two time Oscar nominee Peter Falk died of Alzheimer's disease.

This means that just before he passed, at the culmination of his life, he probably had no idea that he was PETER freakin' FALK!

That's just wrong.

Found a wounded pigeon. Might have been shot or had by a dog/cat possibly. It's got quite a big nasty hole at the top of the wings behind it's neck, and another in it's side . One wing doesn't work so the muscle might be torn, I wouldn't be surprised having seen that hole . Poor bugger.

Washed the hole and side as best I can and bandaged round the wing and body to stop it treading on the wing which it keeps doing. If it dies at least it'll be quieter and more peaceful than getting nommed by a cat or blatted about in the road by a car or something.

I put it in the rabbit run with a big tub propped up to hide inside, some straw in there to rest on, and water and birdseed just in case it does recover somewhat .

Pigeon didn't make it, which isn't that surprising considering the state of him. A combination of shock and the wound itself. I've buried him now. See if the dirt decides to actually leave me some bones for a change ,instead of apparantly vaporising them into nothingness.

No, the backpack is for a nappy bag/tote bag to carry all of babybat's shit around in.

The dress is an entirely different thing, although I wish I could wear a backpack to a wedding, but then I'd want to wear jeans and a tee and it's a formal wedding so I'd get tossed out.

Miss C don't forget to move tomorrow - go for a walk, even though it will hurt, you won't be so stiff - way to go girl! Woot!!

Saya what the heck is <3 anyway? is that happy? Am I using it too early in our relationship? If I don't know what I'm typing does this mean I just asked you to marry me?

Ben Yeah screw altzimers - I'd rather take myself out than have a gradual slow mindless zombie death than that... Guess we are all going to have to remember Pete Falk because he sure couldn't.

The thorns on a gooseberry bush are fucking EVIL. I look like I've had a bout of self harm or something. Still, I reckon I've got over a kilo of gooseberries, and that was only off one side ! :O

My ankle is all swollen so I'm in bandage and limping around (probably wasn't my greatest idea to run the morning after twisting my ankle). Surprisingly, I'm not too stiff today. With online and offline donations combined, I raised just short of £300, which isn't bad going

It looks like a sideways ass. From now on when I see people use the '<3' symbol I'm going to think 'ass'.

I 'ass' you! I 'ass' you, too!

'ass' 'ass' 'ass'

I 'ass' that restaurant!

I 'ass' that song!

I 'ass' you,
You 'ass' me,
We're an 'assing' family.

No wonder I hate Barney!

Now, 'ass' me no more questions and I'll tell you no more lies.

This is a considerably better form of Barney, actually. Not to mention more realistic to how a lot of families work.
