It's way too narrow, the forums are all cramped up. The posts too. The background looks ridiculous. I hate the whole thing.

Very nice. Will take some getting used to, though.

I like it quite a bit, though the background (while cool) is rather distracting. The column form takes some getting used to, and I think that there should be a little color-- red, perhaps. Good job overall.

The update is mature and attractive, but I must agree that the posts are cramped and claustraphobic. Longer posts would be a pain. Wonderful job on the design though! I adore it!!

I believe my actual reaction when I opened the site today was "WHOA!!! COOL!"
The background is simply gorgeous!

It's pretty and I like it, but it makes it a little harder for me to read the posts because they're so thin. It's nice, though!

Nice!
I just got to school, and jumped on the site, I thought I was in the wrong place. I think it rocks! I like the colors, and the gothic style. I mean green was cool, but this has that Mid-Evil class that I personally appreiciate. Way to go team! Looks nice!

That can be a good thing. I had a few negative points from people who were on the site a day just for me flaming them or someone else.
But yeah, it seems everyone agrees it's a bit too cramped.

Looks like the boards lay out a bit more narrow in IE than they do in FireFox.

Ooh, I might just have to go here through Fox then.
Hoshit he's right. It's almost perfect in Fox.

I think the columns are way too thin for a good read. It's obviously made so that the pattern on the extreme left and right-hand side of your screen will always show (let's face it: it's a kick arse pattern).
but, we could keep the one on either side and get rid of the other.
this way, we'll still see the pattern all the time and gain about an inch width on the central column.
But more importantly: we are now a literature site again, so that idiot teens looking for the Goff page will probably be detoured a bit when they find that this is a site for people who not only can read and write but actually (gasp) enjoy doing both.
And just because you don't see my name or E_E's or EPSs, don't get confused: we still moderate things 'round here.

It's a web browser, like Internet Explorer, only much much better. The problem is that some people never bother to design for all the different browsers people use. I'm sure the people in charge will make the adjustment in IE once they see this though.

I also use Firefox, but the site looks damned good. I'm also particularly pleased to see two of my favorite authors with stories: Thomas Roche and Maria Alexander.
Rockin!

Because when noobs see you and your 18000 rep points, they run in fear!
But about the new site- I love it, I have the same complaint that everyone has about the narrowness, so I'm not going to re-iterate that or anything, I just wanted to give my vote to the anti-color side, I love the black and white- it's how I have my entire computer set up, so now gothic.net matches my whole screen! It's gorgeous. It really exceeds any expectations I ever had of change, especially so fast! I'm really blown away- good work.

And I'm glad rep points are gone. That added a cometitive/nobility sort of thing that shouldn't be a part of gothic, in my opinion.
