What are you gonna be for Halloween?

I know this thread is a bit late for people to use for inspiration, but I am curious
I am gonna be a demon in a black monk's robe - complete with black eyes and fangs.
I have this so far:

Question: Should I dye my eyebrows for this?

I wouldn't use a permanent dye as brows look really funny as the color grows out but you can use a temporary dye or even a brow pencil, which can be picked up cheaply. An additional benefit of the pencil is that you can change the shape of your brows if you want.

As for my costume this year I found a small venetian mask that I really like and I'm building a costume around that.

My girlfriend and I want to dress up like the Blues Brothers. Both of us want to be Elwood.

That's good advice actually But what if I kept dying the eyebrows? I mean, I am already dying my hair, so why not? Would that look weird too fast?

And you MUST upload pictures of this mask, it sounds sexy!

Sure if you want to keep up with it then you can dye them, plenty of people do, you just have to be careful about which dyes you use as most shouldn't be used around the eyes. Not sure if you have them in Denmark but here there are some beauty supply stores that are open to the public that have dyes safe for the brows.

The mask isn't anything super special, just a simple half mask covered in lace. Like this without the thing on the side:

I'm going to jazz it up a bit, add some trim and such around the edge but I haven't decided exactly what I want.

Well, we have this store called Matas, and they sell dye that is intended for eyebrows and eyelashes.
So I believe that should work just fine :3
Only problem is, if it looks silly when I do it the first time, I am going to have to wait a long time to rectify it.

Where are my manners... I forgot to comment on your awesome mask!
Perhaps you could add a coloured trim to it? Something gold or silver-ish?

I think I want to keep my whole look as black and white as possible but I was thinking about doing a black fringe along the bottom edge. I don't want to do trim around the eyes as I cannot stand anything obstructing my vision (which is why I like this mask so much, it sits nice and flush to my cheeks and brows) but I was thinking of using some super small rhinestones at least in the inner corners of the eyes. I'm just not sure what I want to do with the top, I like it as is but it may look strange with fringe on the bottom and not on the top so I was thinking about ruffled satin but I'm not totally sold on the idea, I think I'm going to see if I can just get some trim scraps from the fabric store to play around with until I can make up my mind.

I really want to be Batwoman but student loans won't cover my final semester (s, depending on my honours thesis) so I'm on a very strict budget for the next year D:

I was tempted to get a lab coat and my biggest pair of glasses.

But who am I kidding. I'm going to drink by myself.

Ouch that blows.

Any chance of you being able to make a Batwoman costume cheaply?

I'll have to go to the fabric store anyway soon so I'll see how much four way stretch pvc costs, the material is going to be the worst of it. I could do like a cotton spandex perhaps for cheaper but I'd rather have the shiny material for authenticity. The body suit pattern I saw online will cost 16 dollars shipping included.

Wouldn't a silver trim technically qualify? It won't break too much with the black-and-white theme, but it will add shine to the whole thing I believe.

Saya: That sucks... If everything goes wrong, you can always put on a pair of ears and draw whiskers on your face :o
Also! I wholely endorse the costumed tinychat session! If you do it when I am not busy getting drunk at the awesome parties I am attending....

A college student. I've got some legitimate overpriced books I'll be taking into an actual college, on Halloween night. Which is good for me, since I rarely do anything on this holiday, and I sort of hate it; even though I have the musical knowledge to host one hell of a Halloween party. Drinking might happen though.

ha, I think worst case scenario is I'll buy a cat mask and try to find my cat claw gloves. I bought a dress a few years ago for a cat costume, just cause it looked like something Eartha Kitt Catwoman would wear.

Class-Punk: I'll be going to school on Halloween night as well. I felt no need to specify in my topic that I was talking about outfits for Halloween parties... :P
Saya: That sounds cool too :b

Elystan: Don't take it too hard. Once, at a concert, someone came up to me and asked me if I was a fan or a bouncer....

I'm debating being Morpheus since I have a leather trench coat, similar sunglasses and after some time in the sun tend to be a little tan. Except the clothes are all black, rather than dark grey

Have you considered the "shaving your head bald" part though?

Yeah. I already have a buzzcut since I have a massiv widow's peak. All it would take is an electric razor and a small bottle of rubbing alcohol afterwards
