Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

well
I like anything if it is well constructed --even some *gasp* pop stuff -- the idea about being a free thinker, is not to be encapsulated in any box, Gothic or otherwise...:-)

I really like Theatre Of Tragedy's inbetween-y stuff. It isn't quite their old sound of being really metal, with growly vocals nor is it like their corny electro sound.
Fair enough it's sung in old english, but I daresay it has slight elements of The Sisters Of Mercy in it (not totally obvious to some, but to me).
Plus Liv Kristine is an awesome singer. Though I think if she were a bit more experimental she'd be able to rival my beloved Kate Bush.

I'd probably like that song if it wasn't overplayed to death. It's been number one in the charts here for the last two months or so - coincidentally, for about as long as it's been bloody raining....
After hearing God Only Knows in work last night, I was reminded just how much I love the Beach Boys

Yes! "Harem" is a wonderful album! I thought I was the only one who listened to it...
