I will go insane.
I really am trying to cut down on my whining/ ranting, I do. But this time Iīve got a really good reason. I will go insane. Iīve got to hand in a first draft of my exam essay on humaniora and hermeneutics for one of my university courses on Tuesday. It has to be as complete as possible, preferrably a completed text in need of editing. I also have to start writing my essay for my music paedagogy course, because I have to present my project on the 30th in front of the class. And I have to start to read the books that I need to have read to be able to write something sensible for my ethics exam essay. And I have to practise Verdiīs aria "Eīstrano" from La Traviata, which I need to know by heart till Thursday. And on top of this, I get tendonitis in my dominant hand. TENDO- FUCKING- ITIS!! Iīm... speechless. This means I can only type at half speed at best, and often only with my right hand (Iīm left- handed). And I can hardly play the piano without experiencing jolts of agony running down my hand and arm. I will go insane. I donīt have time for this shit...!

Since you've got a bunch of music on your site, I'm gonna assume you've got a mic for your computer. Check out some voice dictation software. The new gen. programs are excellent for accuracy. There's a good selection of free/shareware out there for it too.
I can't help you with the piano problem however.

Tuesday is four days away, even if your hand gets chopped off you'll be able to use the other one to write an essay in four days.
Now if you were simply too lazy to do your essay, I'd sympathise.

PoS - thanks for the tip! I really hope I can find something that works with my mac, because that would be pure genious. I think, if I didnīt have to type, I wouldnīt have half as much trouble with the piano part, either.
Joker - not as simple as that. Iīm a musician, I could ruin my career doing that.
Despanan - it took me four hours to write that, inbetween my research and reading Heidegger and Gadamer.
Ophelia - Iīve known about the exam paper for quite a while. Problem is, I didnīt get to know what I was supposed to write about until last week, the day before my doc told me about my tendonitis.
JCC - not that simple, either, because I have to do this the scientific way. Gawds, uptight academia. And lazy? Possibly a bit. Itīs just that I canīt fail this course or Iīll be in deep shit.
Jack - haha, great suggestion, I wish I could do that without it affecting my logical reasoning and spelling. I mean, I do have to defend my paper afterward.

Minyaliel, is your user title supposed to be Latin for 'get a life'? Right now it pretty much reads as "do so that you may live." A better way to 'say get a life' would be "Para vitam".

Um, itīs in norwegian. You wouldnīt understand a thing anyway.
In the end, I decided to hand the draft in as it is. I have a really good, and valid, reason to do so anyway, and after talking it over with the lecturer I think itīll be okay. I might even have my exam postponed a few weeks or so If I talk to my doctor again. So I just hope itīll end well, at least. (And when Iīve finished this course, I swear I will never open a book on hermeneutics again, ever.)
