Though I think Hillary is a bit whacko, I do think the guy is somewhat ill informed about certain issues.

Then again, he just sounds slightly right wingish. Since I'm not exactly on the bird, I'm inclined to more or less disagree with his own thoughts on the matters at hand.

He does sound right-wing. He complained that she's anti-gun, among other things. >.<

Dear person who posted that video,

I just thought you should know that when you post a video meant to sway a person's opinion on a certain political figure, it would really HELP if you DIDN'T use the word 'like' every two other words. Also, if you pre-script what you wish to go over in your video, it might help you sound more credible and actually make people want to consider what you are saying.

Calling names like 'retard,' 'evil,' and 'bitch,' doesn't help either. If anything, it just makes you sound like an over-opinionated child who doesn't know anything about the facts and forms their view points based on hear-say and popular opinion.

Gathering your thoughts before you record and post them on the public internet helps you seem like less of an idiot and more like a person with valid points to convey.

Your personal feelings aside, if you sound more like an adult than a child, you'll get a better response in general.

Just thought you should know.

----------------------------------------

I really wanted to send that to him.

Thanks, but after I posted this, I realized that perhaps I should. And so I did. Got a quick response too. He seems nice enough, but a bit lacking in his political ranting abilities.

I'm pro-NRA.

She should be shot either way.

You know, she was just doing that to be different than Obama, but ended up being exactly the same.

Democrats are regular people too. In fact, most of them are against elitism and guns. You see, saying that "regular" people support gun ownership is the problem. I know so many hard working people that are totally against guns.

All Hillary said is that regular people are rednecks and she would shoot Bambi, probably shot a squirel also.

Too bad the damn press is also a bunch of elitest assholes.

NRA is usually the abbreviation for the National Rifle Association.

http://www.nra.org/

I don't like guns much though, unless I'm using one to hunt a Deer or Possum.

Eh... I might not have lurked here long enough, but here goes for posting.

The video is funny, I think. It's cute that he's got all his ducks in a row over Hilary, and the way he says 'She's... Freakin' Satan!' at the end of the video got a chuckle out of me. I agree with him, however, that Clinton is the wrong candidate for the election, and Obama isn't much better. A vote for McCain is a vote for four more years of fascism, albeit diet fascism, or 'fascism light' or whatever you want to call it. So you really can't win with our current candidates. I'd like to pretend the third party would be a good way to go, but a third party has NEVER won an election if I recall correctly.

As for people being pro-gun control? Eh... That scares me. You understand we have a right to defend ourselves, correct? I'm not talking from burglary or Mexicans or whatever it's cool to hate these days. I'm talking about defending ourselves from our own country. It's a historical precedent that when a government wants to oppress its people and put into place a dictatorship, one of the first actions taken is to disarm the people at large. It happened in Russia, Germany, Hungary etc. Down the line. (I'll source these claims if I have to, but I REALLY don't want to. I just woke up and I'm lazy.)

Maybe I'm out of line for having joined so early, or whatever makes someone inferior on the internet, but pro-gun control kinda offends me on an almost spiritual level. Also, the NRA does great civil rights work for the second amendment, even if they do like shooting fluffy things.

EDIT: Also, WALL OF TEXT! YAR!

Guns... a great thing to know about. In fact, I feel that it would be an essential thing to know about as an American. At least how to operate one and such. I guess people will figure them out eventually if they have one, but knowing how to operate one doesn't really hurt. Even if you're against them.

I believe that there are three main things that should be done to ensure gun safety:

1. Safety training
2. A de-mystifying of the "aura" that is often presented around them.
3. More safety training. :-)

I'm personally very pro-gun, though I don't own any myself. I do not trust the government, and I'll note that the police punish, not protect (in other words, they can't do much until someone has attacked you). Although I'm somewhat skeptical about the utility of modern hunting arms against the might of modern armies, I do note that an armed populace does serve as an effective reminder to members of government that taking away rights and freedoms might not be the wisest course of action.

I doubt the government would try such a bold move anyway. It would take just one skirmish the a band of pissed civilians and they'd get the bigger guns eventually. Besides, if they won, they'd have no one to govern. Funny that, eh?

You know if having rights to guns is so we can protect ourselves, I feel we should also have the right to rocket launchers, guided missles and tanks. After all we live in a time of mass destruction. Realistically, if there were actually an attack on the USA or a rebellion, guns won't do much at all.

The point is, we're talking about the american government vs. the american people. First of all, there'd be FAR too many dissenters in the service itself to hold up an effective front against the people. Take it from one who is/was in the service.

There's service members right now that would hunt down and destroy Bush himself if he ever had a third term. So that should go to show you that even though Americans are pretty misguided, they haven't forgotten what it means of "freedom" entirely.

I'm not happy with how the Bill of Rights are being eroded. Both parties do it though. Democratics do it because guns really are only good for self defense and hunting and not worthwhile for a militia. Then there are other issues not related to this thread at all, so I'll leave it alone.

Well, I think you'd have to worry more about both parties coming to terms with their differences and erode the bill of rights in both ways for a common goal of having more power over the people then.
