I. AM. STERILE.

YEEEESSSS!

And to top it off the pain is minimal. I have 2 small incisions sites and I'm dyed red from whatever they swabbed me with. But otherwise fine !

I felt very bad for the 2 women opposite me. Their pain was pretty strong, and I heard them both ask for more painkillers, but they couldn't have any as they had already had so much upon coming round. They both bled pretty badly too, they had to fetch the one a new gown

THIS. This made my day yesterday. I need a tardis at once. I need to get the oddest outfit imaginable together, buy some fucking ugly shoes and go and dance my legs off.

TR: I thought that either Denmark or Norway should have won. Iceland was amazing though.. and honestly, I could be more than a little biased about Denmark.

I was chatting on What'sApp with Ulf while they were showing the telecast here and was talking him through the vote tallies. He'd been really careful not to give away any spoilers (they show it on a delay here, so that it's shown at night. There is actually a big following for it here - mostly as fodder for drinking games..). When they announced Denmark, he just kept sending "DENMARK WINS!!!" over and over again for almost 5 minutes.. that had me in hysterics.

But personally, my favourite was Romania.

And Greece.

And Ireland - but only for the oiled up drummers.

Romania was easily one of the queerest things I have ever seen. It was amazing.

Wow, HT. Thank you!!! That was awesome. I want one of those T-shirts, too. (Kind of makes me wonder why we haven't seen any grade Z horror movies on these. You know, "The Giant Mantis Shrimp That Ate Chicago" or something. Somebody missed the boat on this one).

Not today but last night we had a fantastic fire at the beach, lasting about three hours. We got to hang out with people we don't usually see and we had ginormous marshmallows for toasting (well we also had chocolate and gram crackers for making smores but I just had marshmallows).

Oh you need some insectivious birds to get rid of the squash bugs... oh and apparently if your plants are healthy, you won't get insects (just working this one out myself.) To get healthy plants you need to tend to the soil.

I'm so glad one of us is gardening - my garden has gone to sleep for the winter, and I miss it terribly

I can't believe over here, people are 'rebelling' by planting their own gardens, and harvesting their own food. Shit, when I was doing it 20 years ago, I was completely unfashionable and seen as a weirdo.

**I've got a full-time job for the next few months** Lovin' the money but not the fact that my time isn't my own.

Released my second book. Working on the third then that's it for me and my writing.

Jake and I went to the Golden Gate Park in San Fran, it was kind of damp (San Fran is always kind of damp) but we had a great time.

Waking up this morning, not being dead. I suppose that's always something to be thankful for.
On a cheerier note, my medieval pants might finally come to the store today

WMMD - living in a country that has socialised medicine. I just spent 5 days on IV antibiotics, which I never ever would have been able to afford if I lived elsewhere.
