I really don't think Pennywise is scary. AT all. Ever. I can't understand why people think he's scary.

Am I the only one who is really afraid of dolls? I mean, I can't sleep if there's a doll in the room. They are fucking scary!
No, you aren't alone there, I hate dolls. I really cannot bear them. Espescially porcelain dolls, it's terrible of me to say it, but the big ones really do look like dead children that have been glazed !!!!! I remember seeing that crap old horror film " dolls " ( hows that for an inventive name? ) as a child, where they all come to life and kill the people living in the house. That did it for me, no more dolls. To be fair I never really played with dolls anyway, I hated Barbie, I loved the Barbie horses though

Hehe. I liked that movie. Makes me want to rent it and watch it for the cheese factor.

I'm the same way. Show me a frog, grass hopper or lizard i'll try to catch it. Point out a snake, I want to see it. Say there's a centipede, I run away crying and have nightmares for the next few nights.

One could consider this a phobia, I suppose, but I don't like open doors. If I walk into my room, and forget to close the door and lock it, I'll literally fly back across the room, then close, lock, and check the door (3 times).

I have an anxiety disorder or two, though.

I'm the opposite. I love small rooms, and detest open spaces, especially ones with lots of people. Also, I prefer to be able to see the door.

Oh, and spiders are awesome. I refuse to kill them, actually.

My friend has the same phobia.

As for me, I am absolutely paraoid about my ears getting sunburnt. I have been known to walk around covering my ears to stop the sun. I'm also scared of having bad breath. I brush my teeth everytime I go out, and carry mints. If my breath doesn't feel fresh to me I, more than likely, won't talk.

That is as it should be I suppose, but in my case, I obsess over it.
I imagine my grandson as a toddler and drowning in a pool, so I will not buy a house with a pool or have one built in my backyard, at least not until he has swimming lessons. And it goes on: I imagine a Rottweiler or pitbull getting a hold of him when he is two, and so on. Not quite full blown phobia, just...paranoia.
Is it still paranoia if you fear for someone else's life? My protective instinct is on steroids.
My therapist told me it was paranoia to worry for another also. I feared for my family so much all the time, more than me at the time. I mean I have it under control now. because it was very bad at one point. My paranoia was at the point beyond highest it could be. But I still worry about them dying or getting hurt. So yeah, I say it's paranoia to worry for someone else also.

I fear losing my love too. He means the world to me. I would be nothing without him.

Usually, I can handle most things. I hate snakes, but I can usually handle snakes, as long as they don't crawl over me. Loaded guns don't bother me, as long as they're aimed away, and not pointed at me.

But what scares the living hell out of me, is being touched. I do not like being touched. By almost anything. As soon as it touches me... Oh god...

I think that is more of sensory defensiveness which needs therapy, I know from experience how much of a jolt a touch can give. Human contact is quite a foreign concept for me, but is ok with those exceptionaly close to me.

Me too. I did last years Christmas shopping for 15 people in 30 mins just before the store closed. I had an extreme panic attack in the car for another 30 mins before I could drive home. It's agoraphobia. I suffer it to varying degrees depending on where we are going. Most times I will try to get out of going places just so I can avoid a panic attack.

Other than that I have only two fears, fallling and death. Hard to know what your afraid of if your afraid of going out anywhere. LOL

I have three major, well not major, more prominant fears.

Getting attacked by sharks, but like the other person who posted about sharks I love them. Also my life turning into a horror movie type of situation. And a slight agoraphobia, but that seems to bo waning as the weather gets warm.

I have a fear of driving vehicles and a fear of strangers.

I am also scared of amputations and things that I would survive, but would have been best that I didn't.

I'm terrified of small enclosed spaces and heights. To this day, I've never been on a rollercoaster. Even imagining the height shortens my breath, and increases my heart rate.

Not a fan of personal contact as many of my friends can attest. But above all else- Snuggle Bear scares the bejeezus out of me. Life was cool until I had a nightmare about him and now I am afraid to use fabric softener.
