So you want to end up working out for two hours a day? That seems a bit extreme to me, make sure that you aren't putting too much stress on your body or else this will completely backfire.

It would if I tried what I wanted to try from the start, which was basically what I'm working up to now. Anyways, nah... I'm lifting weight that's just right for me, 50 pounds, not too heavy, not too light. Oh, and of course, I'm not just going to go through all the stuff all at once, that'd be too hard, so I take breaks in between usually a minute or two. Depending on how tired I am from it, and also, drinking plenty of water.

Really, I think the only problem I'll have is will power. Though... I guess it's cool to drink a soda every now and then.

Really, I don't care what it takes, I just want to be healthy and happy... oh and to score with a bulgarian woman.

Since you seem to enjoy it so much you can make soda a reward. Make a work out schedule and if you follow your schedule then you are able to drink a soda (though not right after working out as well you need something that hydrates and boosts your electrolytes) but if you fail to follow the schedule then don;t allow yourself to have any.

You know those root beer candies? Well I was thinking the same for those, the ones we have are 80 calories for 4, if I follow my routine perfectly I get all four, if I make drink sodas or eat any buns, I minus one from the four. If I follow the routine perfectly, I will also allow myself a 14 ounce Dr. Pepper on Friday, only 2 times a month. Is there something I can eat that won't fuck up my teeth, because I think I have cavaties, and I don't want to make them worse.

I've gone down from 220 to 180 in about 3 months. Here's what I'm doing:

1. I wake up and go to bed at the same time every day, and get my full 8 hours of sleep (12PM to 8AM).
2. I get up and go run for an hour. I don't measure how far I get; I just have to be running most of the time. I started out walking for five minutes, running for one. Now I'm up to running for 5 minutes, walking for 1 minutes.
3. I eat a good breakfast every god damn day. Missing breakfast causes me to eat more than I normally would during the day. Every morning I have at least one fruit, one source of protein, a bowl of cereal, and milk.
4. I have a multivitamin.
5. I find some kind of sport to do every day. Martial Arts really helps, and so does soccer.
6. I do some kind of anaerobic exercise every day.

Last time I weighed myself I was UNDER 15 stone!!! YAY!!!!. Hopefully this will keep going down. I'd like to lose another stone and a half by the time Whitby comes around ( beginning of November ) so that's 2 months.

Why not treat yourself to some new clothes ( which you will need as you lose weight so it does have a practical purpose ) or some other non food based thing?

I think that getting a pizza or two would be better. Most meals at McDonald's reach up to more than 1,000 calories. Two pizzas and a can of soda would only have around half the calories.

I agree with Miss Honeythorn as well.

I meant other than clothes, as they are a given, when I lose the weight I plan on buying a whole new wardrobe of band tees and pants... wait I forgot one thing. When I lose all this weight I want to lose, I'll be able to run a whole mile non-stop. Now, that sounds like a sweet reward, along with being able to snack without feeling guilty.

I would try and stay away from McDonalds, that stuff is addicting so just going back for one meal can start up habit back up. Try and think of something that you really love to eat like some rich creamy french food or a decadent dessert and have that instead of some fast food.

Why wait for a quality steak? He could have a bison or elk steak without any guilt as both are pretty lean and taste damn good.

It's just a good reward because it is both delicious and healthy.

What buffet is this?

And...you're getting ahead of yourself. Worry now about healthily losing like 10 pounds.

Just a buffet at one of the local casinos, I like to know my options ahead of time. Anyways, yeah, 10 lbs, then 20... 30... god damn, to think it took this long for me to have the drive to actually do something about my weight... pathetic.

Ok, so I'm trying to keep my intake at 2,000 cals a day, what can I do to cut that down to 1,000, 1,500 if 1,000 is unhealthy?

1,000 calories is probably not good for a guy...if I were you I would eat healthy snacks between meals. Say you eat some egg or cereal for breakfast...eat some fruit an hour later then for lunch you eat a sandwich or something...eat some nuts or fruit an hour later...then eat your dinner whatever that may be and eat something after that. But your cut off time for eating should always be 7 NEVER eat after 7... the koreans I work with swear by that rule...they eat all day but they are skinny as rails because all the food digests properly...its hard but its worth it in the end...I need to live by that rule myself : /

1000kcal a day is unhealthy for ANYONE.

Duane, keep it at 2000kcal, and exercise, and you'll be fine.
Remember, you aren't going to notice ANY change at all for like two weeks.
Just keep at it.

Ophie is right don't go below 2000 or else you are going to start throwing your body into starvation mode which will make you retain fat, and if you go down as low as 1000 then you could easily give yourself some health problem.

Thanks Ophelia and Sol, what do you suggest for a low calorie snack? Bag of Smartpop popcorn? Should I just stick with a couple of apples and a large glass of water?
