Thank you all very much. I shall do my best to enjoy the day. And the cake, which may or may not be a lie. And if only someone would give me a real raygun for my birthday....

My brother's guinea pig had to have his back leg amputated ! Awwwww poor little bugger!

He slipped on a ramp in his cage in the middle of the night, and spent the whole time hanging upside down by his back leg . It was too swollen to X-ray at the time but now they have, it was too bad to put a cast on so they took the leg off.

He will always be known as Stumpy to me from now on.

I'm working on changing over to an all raw diet. So far, it's going pretty well and I haven't had this much energy in a while. Just good to see how a simple diet change can improve the quality of life you have. Other than that, I'm constantly saddened by the lack of important focus at my school. People just keep hopping from trend to trend to impress and be accepted by people instead of being concerned with important matters. Ah, well. I guess that's to be accepted in modern society.

Rumor has it that I am gay for I sometimes wear eyeliner/nail polish to work. In my defense, I don't have nail polish remover and only two of my fingers had nail polish on 'em.

I'm out of cigarettes. =(

Last night went well.
I still have an excess of cake, including carrot cake, chocolate cake and homemade lime cheesecake.
I got absinthe, baileys, a drawing, money, tickets to see the Mission, tickets to Club AntiChrist, chocolates, white wine, a beautiful hand made velvet pouch, and a nun.

I wanted to be a nun once... then I realized just how much religion was involved. Now I have a secret desire to be the Pope... or at least kidnap his hat.

Yes, dear. A nun.
A porcelain doll of a nun, to be more accurate. She's sitting on the fridge, staring at us when we go to retrieve more cake.

My student loan came in! Huzzah! I have money again, I'm not stupidly poor any more!

I'm preshrinking some cotton-linen blend fabric. I was digging through my fabric bin and thought it had the right weight and drape to work as a liner for some upcoming projects. It's also undyed and unbleached so the fabric is this nice beige/grey color.

Pearls are the precious-gem equivalent of Velvet. They both interact with light in strange and unpredictable ways.

So what the hell is it with cats and fish?

All I have to do is get a can of tuna out of the cupboard and she lays in on me.

Ack, ballet makes me feel like a pretty fairy princess. Enough happiness, back to belly dancing (my new love in life).

Plus, I might be getting beautiful red velvet drapes to replace the champagne colored sheers that were up when I moved in! Does happy dance and subsequently stubs toe . . . oh pooh.
