I have decided that coffee is extracted from a bean which is a seed and started drinking it again. I am sooooooo buzzed. Feelin' good about life. Wooo! Yep, this stuff has got to good for you. I just need to remember skimmed milk and no sugar or sugar substitute.

I finally got Jake to try chicken tikka masala and he likes it! He is the pickiest eater I've ever met so I'm always happy to find something new that I can make for us, the same dishes get boring after a while.

Saw the final ceremonies of the monks of the Drepung Loseling Monastery today. For most of the week they've been making a Mandala sand painting(which is apparently actually crushed and dyed marble), and today they swept it up, gave out some of the sand to those fortunate to be there(I have my little packet of sand right next to my laptop's touchpad now), and poured some of it into the pond here at my college. Quite the interesting ceremony to observe.

They are awesome aren't they?

You and Timeless and Ape make my day... just flying past, while I've got a few seconds then I'm off again to the big wide yonder.

This not only made my day. It made my entire week!
It almost made me cry with laughter, and it made my heart melt.

I rearranged just about our entire apartment, in fact other than our bedroom furniture there is not a single piece of furniture that I did not move. I'm very pleased both with how everything looks and that I was able to get it done. I'm feeling all rugged and powerful, although moving the futon would have been soooo much easier with a second person, especially trying to get it through the doorway cuz I had to move the frame and the mattress separately and the mattress kept wanting to unfold and get stuck but I triumphed in the end!

Now people enter into a nice, open space. We have a chair tucked in the corner that gets perfect sunlight so I have and ideal spot for afternoon reading. My desk is tucked in a corner with two bookshelves so I can surround myself with crafting supplies and have them out where I can see them but still have them organized. The dinner table is tucked against the wall so it can be used more like a buffet for parties but can easily be pulled out for a formal meal. Most importantly Jake now has a desk so he has a focused place to keep all of his work and, even though he thinks this idea is silly, I think he will get more work done now that he has a space just for doing his homework. All of the entertainment stuff (tv, game systems, etc.) have been moved into the second bedroom along with the futon and cocktail table so it is kind of like a den I guess but it also means that when someone stays over they actually get their own room instead of sleeping in the living room, which will be nice.

That sounds really nice Solumina, good effort.

We really need to shift furniture around our house and freshen up our living spaces but we have a lot of large, awkward furniture that requires more motivation than we have to move it. We basically dumped everything in the nearest convenient place when moved in and haven't botherd to move it since.

A 45 minute walk along the beach before brekky this morning made my day. It was perfect.

Just did 20 minutes of free weights and another 20 of aerobics with stretching spread out between the exercises. Now I feel energized for the rest of the day

I figured out how to replace my phone that died when dropped in the rain! And my stomach is hurting comparatively little. However, the fact that I am going to go crochet is what will really make my day. It always does.

The possibility we may be getting a puppy. If we get it, it will be tomorrow most likely.

My brother knows a guy, who knows a woman that wants to "just get rid of it" . As in, she wanted the guy to literally take it away with him there and then. He couldn't so he asked my brother if he knew anyone who would want it. So he called mother.

The puppy is 14 weeks old, wire haired jack russel bitch, and is aparantly about as big as a shoe ( so I am guessing miniature variety)

I do wonder why she wants rid so soon. Either some small brats have got bored of it already, or she's too freaked out by or lazy to clean up the inevitable puddle of piss on the kitchen floor in the morning . Poor little sod will be better off here by far.

Jack russels are really high energy it seems a lot of people don't realize that adorably excited puppies don't magically calm down when you want them to so they end up getting frustrated and angry with the poor pups for the very reason they wanted them in the first place.

that's how mom got her pugs. Original owner didn't like how needy they are, and originally only wanted to get rid of one but mom saw how depressed the dogs were by being seperated so she convinced her to sell her the second one as well.

Funny thing, a few months ago she contacted mom asking if she could have them back.
