"Garouden", written by Baku Yumemakura and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki.

Also, any graphic novels or mini-series based around Sabertooth (Marvel). My favorite being the graphic novel, "Back To Nature".

WHAA!? Though I have not read the manga, "Barefoot Gen", I have seen the anime, and have never cried so much in my life (in my defense, I watched it when I was in 8th grade).

Quoted for truth. I've been following Lackadaisy since the first panels, and (other than the sporadic updates), have yet to be disappointed.

JTHM and "I Feel Sick" by Vasquez were also great, in a weird, misanthropic way.

In the past I read more Marvel titles. Recently I've enjoyed DC, Dark Horse and other independent/small press comics. I like Hellblazer and Nel Gaiman's The Sandman series.
