So the Firefly watch party ran over ... most everybody volunteered to stick around for a couple more episodes, so somebody named an ep and we all said "Sure, I'm in!"
And after 6 hours of watching and chatting with some amazing and amusing commentary from some pretty active fans, I am happy but wiped out. Goodnight!

I lost my shoe's sole (which is kind of a funny story) and met two beautiful girls, and since it's technically saturday this same day I'm going out with this girl I've liked for over a year.
My life is awesome.

I just had a very good phone interview and have an in-person job interview scheduled for Tuesday with a company that I would like to manage a store for.
The call went well, and for the first time since I lost my last job in September of 2009, I feel like I can land this new position if I just nail the interview the way I know I can.
I'm psyched that it's a job I actually would like to have ... I was thinking I was going to have to settle for something really crappy very shortly.

The call went so well. Before I even got a chance to start talking, the guy said that just from looking at my resume, I was the leading candidate for the position. I absolutely reinforced that opinion throughout the call, and when we hung up, I was certain that if I do the best interview I'm capable of on Tuesday, the job should be mine.
So I'm going to do well. I'm a good interviewee, in part because I've also spent some time being an interviewer. Once you've done some hiring, confidence on the other side of the desk comes easier.
I just haven't gotten that far many times in the time since 2009 ... the phone basically has just started ringing in the last month, even though I've had the same resume out there the whole time.
