Inverted crosses!

I'm getting sick of seeing this: http://www.evilmusic.com/reviews/ima...lry-cross1.jpg

This is the cross of St. Peter, or St. Peter's cross. So named because St. Peter is supposed to have been crucified on a cross placed upside down in the ground because he felt he was unworthy to die in the same manner that Christ died (upright).

I love that all the little kiddies who wear this thinking it has some Satanic or anti-Christian meaning, are really running around wearing a holy symbol of Christianity on their little necks. The irony is just too delicious. By all means, make an anti-Christian statement, the world needs more of it. But please, do a little research first.

Forgetting the swastika, I think the inverted cross is already common knowledge around here.
I mean, by the time you have investigated enough to know who Ian Astbury is, you ought to know already most "shock" symbols are misused.

I got a Swastika and "Vaginal Jesus". That's hot.

People should have gotten a clue when the Pope sat under an inverted cross. Gee, he's real satanic now.

It makes me happier when they wear 666, because if they're so "anti-christian" how come they're wearing a christian symbol? Buying into their religion and flipping it around does not make you anti-christian, it makes you a christian and an asshole.

If you get the swastika, it's because of hotlinking. Copy the URL, then paste it into a new browser-window.

And that concludes todays lesson of 'Durrr, Internets tubes 101'.

I figured it was because of hotlinking, but I couldn't copy the URL because of the elipses in the middle of it.

The swastika is a very old symbol, that is very sacred to Hindus and Buddhists that represented harmony....

And then the Nazis showed up and used the symbol... Now it is mostly associated with 'white power' and hate.

Yeah it reminds me of when they wear the pentacle and that’s a satanic symbol, or how some nazi scum tried to make the Celtic cross a white power symbol, or when Christians celebrate Easter....

Bastardization all over the place, whatever shall one do?

Did you mean the pentagram and that's a satanic symbol or the pentacle and that's an alchemical (if I remember correctly) symbol? Because a pentacle isn't satanic.......
Also what she's saying is that an inverted crucifix is NOT satanic, therefore it doesn't make sense, but a pentagram is a satanic symbol. The three upside-down points represent rejection of the trinity, once again if I remember correctly.

the pentacle and pentagram ARE NOT satanic symbols. They are pagan.
The pentagram for instance is a symbol of protection.

The reason satanists use the upside down pentagram is because you can see the "devil" in it. Which is actually the Horned man, who is an ancient god of the forest and wild things.

The trinity is also much older than Christianity. You can find it several religions.

But I did mean pentacle, I should have thrown the pentagram in there as well. They use both. Pentacle is a little more complicated as its just a star and you can find that symbol in so many places and religions.

Ah that's what it was.

Yeah, the trinity isn't even really mentioned in the bible. Its part of the pagan crap that was thrown in to attract pagans.

Why the hell would they use a pentacle? At least they have an excuse for the pentagram...
