Sci .. apologies if I'm perpetuating this thread ..
Have just been dying some clothing grey and this convo was on my mind.
Dunno if Ebay is a dirty word around these parts?
As I've mentioned, I live pretty far from civilization.
So I tend to purchase a fair bit online ..
Ebay is well handy, something I do is fire on some music and type in the gist of what I'm seeking into the search (as opposed to blatant gothic, punk, grunge etc .. I'll pop in black full length skirt - as soon as ya add the terminology of a defined style 'gothic dress' the price tag goes up lol. So if you're savvy, or can be arsed doing it, ya can shop around for what is perfectly deemed gothic couture.
Fleabay is also good for clothing/fabric dye, D rings, chains, polypropylene webbing/strapping, lace .. all that kinda shizz
Dying clothing is pretty easy, hand dye or machine. Glue gunning or sewing on accoutrements, well in my experience practice makes perfect .. but like I say, where I live is pretty desolate. So not much distraction, getting my Goth On is kinda my clubbing o.O Livin' on the edge eh'

Probs be me and a lot of grannies? But fuck it, old folks know some cool shit, and hopefully I'll learn more about adapting clothing in regards to resizing, redesigning and possibly the skill to make my own?
Excellent point Anise. Let us harness the great untapped talent of the granny. I used to work with a goth girl (she was perky / ******) whose granny made or altered a lot of her clothes. The old fruit bat was good too. I remember her saying once :" I love to work on Kim's frocks, she's like a character from a fairytale..." Awwww !

All cool. I might get some shirts with vaguely satanic symbols on them. Cause the symbols look awesome. I'm hungry....

Oh man, the last semester was the worst. I was so burnt out and I just had an elective in a subject I really don't care much about. But now it's over.
And we paid our dues, time after time. We've done our sentence, but committed no crime.

BEST SAYING EVER
@Fruitbat, Have any other accents you like?
|
Hmm... no particular accents... voices yes..
I like the voice of the actress who played Catherine Janeway in Star Trek voyager. I also like the voice of the guy who played Spock in the new movies.
Tommy Lee Jones has a velvet voice... he should get into reading bedtime stories.... and I like George Clooney's voice.
Kate Blanchett has a lovely voice, when she's doing her lord of the rings voice.
Hmm.. must really like the deep voices perhaps?

Everything is shitty and boring. I have no time or energy for hobbies so all the surfaces have got dusty and cluttered up, and I have so many clothes but don't know how much of it suits me. I think I need the Fashion Police.
Also I need a can of Anti-Asshole spray.

Ah the inequalities of working women.
And how political parties have suddenly become aware of family violence after the media have started exploration of the deaths of several woman during slow media days and how this outrage doesn't get to the women kept in detention centres...

And I love how useless the government still are on it despite all the lip service.

Well, my girlfriend's out of the hospital, sore as hell though and can only eat broth at the moment. She still can't drive due to the pain meds and it hurts for her to get out of bed. At least she can walk, slowly. It's going to be a long road to recovery since it was an abdominal surgery.
