Man, I'm looking at what vendors are attending the sci fi convention this weekend. I'm going to be piss poor broke when I go home.

I got everything moved out of my old place. I still have 5 boxes in the trunk of my car and a huge pile of boxes in the bedroom that need sorting out and putting away, but I really can't be bothered with that now.
I got the 47 inch flat screen mounted perfectly on the wall, and for the first time since before I bought that TV I have my surround sound system hooked up.
Yes, it's time to open a Negro Modelo and enjoy The Dark Knight ... followed, I think, by Serenity. Every other thing can wait.

This is the primary reason why I go to a lot less sci-fi conventions these days. There's no end to things I want to buy there, but there's always an end to my money.
I hope you have a blast!

I hope so too! The guests this year are mostly from Star Trek Deep Space Nine, which of course is the one I never watched, so I'm afraid I'm going to be found out that I'm not nerdy enough to be there XD but there's going to be a lot of anime stuff there too, and I think I'm going to have a Next Generation marathon to refresh my memory this week. I'm hoping I'll be able to walk away with some comics and maybe a t-shirt and that'll be the end of it >.>
And holy shit, one of the vendors is an local publishing company, which seems to have been founded by a guy I went to high school with! Thats so cool, I'll have to check out one of his books.

Considering the amount of Jager I was badgered into having last night, I feel surprisingly fine. No weird hangover/deadness that I got last time, maybe the toast helped soak it up.... It definitely tastes and goes down like cough medicine though >.< I may as well have some next time I'm hacking my chest up XD

There's a comment about gloves and hands that comes to mind, but ... er, nevermind.
It sounds lovely, and I'm glad it fits.

My hands smell strongly of bleach and I have been sniffing them all day. I have watched the same movie for four days on repeat. I am hungry and my parents are downstairs so I must wait until they go to sleep in order to get some food.
It is perfect weather for a smoke and I haven't anymore or any money until Friday, and it's already been four days. I am miserable.
Atlas Shrugged was a shitty book.

I started work at 7:50am (still not sure why that is the time, the department head is a bit odd) and got home at 4:30, yet I have still seem to have managed to run out of time to do anything that I had planned to do. I need to manage my time a bit better.
Also I really should have gone to bed sooner since I only got 4 hours of sleep.

Dancing with the Stars has a technical and artistic judging. What's the point?

I'm sitting here, typing this whilst wearing a pale blonde Amy Winehouse style wig with a MASSIVE beehive. I think it needs accessorising so it'll look fucking splendiferous on the hen weekend .

At least the judges scores on that program count as half of the contestant's scores, with audience votes counting toward the other half. On American Idol, the only thing that matters is the audience vote, so that show ends up being nothing but a popularity contest.
I'm glad to know Star Search is coming back ... a talent competition where somewhat qualified, unbiased judges are the only determining factor.

Today is the 40th anniversary of "Jack" Swigert saying and James Lovell repeating:
"... Houston, we've had a problem ..."
... and we've been misquoting it ever since.
It doesn't seem like 40 years ago. Each Apollo mission used to have a different insignia, and I used to collect the insignia uniform patches.

Star Search is coming back? Isn't that the constant bad example?

Pics or it didn't happen. Also, the Annoying Orange was on my suggestions list on Youtube and....I'm not quite sure what to think about it.

Is it considered in poor taste to order items from costume shops for year-round use? Like the black lace gloves and fan I just bought? I feel weird for it. I mean. . . they're meant to be one-shot things, right?
Also, I've just fallen in love with Infectionator! World Dominator.

I thought on Star Search only the judges vote count. That makes it the classic good example.
Of course, you're talking to someone who remembers The Ted Mack Amateur Hour ... and, fondly, The Gong Show.

This I've got to see. A pale blonde honeythorn sounds spiffy.
