From the walls of text I found floating around, the following was the only thing that made any sense to me.

Furry fandom (also known as furrydom, fur fandom or furdom) refers to the fandom for fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics.

Sounds harmless enough to me.

Mir - What you have found there is basically true as far as I know. A lot of furries are socially fucked up though, and therefore come on as pushy or disgusting, kinda like my co-student whose only dream is to fuck a warped catgirl.

The unfortunate part is that SOME furries are actually like that. It is scary somehow.
Going back to this guy I know, he keeps on forcing his kink for catgirls on all of us. That might've been some of what caused my stereotypical hate.
I do understand the people who feel fond of catgirls etc, the drawings are usually really pretty. Any sexual attraction is weird to me, but I respect it as long as people do not force it on me :)
I knew this guy once who kept drawing Pokémons (appearently r-aped is censored) girls and showing them to everyone, now THAT disgusted me. That along with the catgirl banging co-student guy would probably be two of the major reasons for my previous prejudgement of the furry lifestyle.
