I never joined, never saw a point to. I do go on it to listen to certain bands who have pages there, but other than that, I really couldn't care less.

LOL! my partner did that, she took stupid pictures of herself as a bloke and called herself "SuicidalSuicide" then did another account pretending to be that persons girlfriend.

I prefer to be a myspace whore.

But VF sucks when it comes to meeting other goth people. VF is diseased with emo kids, mall gawf, and those little "scene" bitches.

I'd pondered, off & on, about signing on to the VF thing out of curiosity.
I came here for the same reason & lucked out that the community here is actually pretty well-read (or at least literate, lol), and, well, nice.

I just dread signing on & discovering VF is "mall goth central", or even world headquarters for those who confuse "goth" with "metal". Hell I was a metal kid in high school in the late 80s while still a fan of gothy synth music and knew both were two different things!

If I hadn't, my Slayer-lovin' friends would've clarified it if I'd worn a Depeche Mode shirt around 'em!
That said, I had one or two of 'em borrow a tape or two on the sly.
Got to keep up appearances, ya know!

I'm much more often on MySpace. I've had MySpace maybe 4 months longer than VampireFreaks, too.

I agree with you, vampirefreaks sucks, I don't think it used to be so god damn cheesy in the beginning though.

I had a VF account before I found this site...I just looked at my VF account and found out that I used to be a big fat stupid mallgoth. My favourite bands were Slipknot, AFI, Evanescence... basicly every mall goth band there is. I think G.net saved me from an eternity of emo/mallgothness...
