And people kept coming and coming, and we ended up not packing up until 8:00. My cupcakes sold out and were deemed to be absolutely amazing

I got the weirdest sun burn though. I was wearing a t-shirt when I put on suncreen and after I changed into a low cut tank top, that shows a lot of cleavage, and I guess I didn't amply cover it because my left tit is now red as a lobster.
I hate sunburn. glad to hear the sale went well.. I used to do a lot of country driving, love getting out on the roads and away from the crazy insane 'burb drivers.

I'm off to a good start because, for the first time in like a week, I've awoken without immediately discovering a new, inflamed bedbug bite.

Man, your situation has crossed my mind quite a few times in recent days. It still sucks mightily, but I'm glad you got a reprieve.

This may only make MY day, but a former co-worked passed this along to me (and I'm digging it):

Amanda Palmer Performs The Popular Hits Of Radiohead On Her Magical Ukulele

BTW, this is the woman Neil Gaiman is engaged to.

Yeah I saw that this morning, and its only eighty four cents! I had her version of Creep stuck in my head all day.

What made my day was the internet. Sarah Palin used a word that doesn't exist in Twitter and compared herself to Shakespeare when people called her on it. So all day people were making jokes on #shakespalin. My favourite thus far is "But soft, what light from yonder window breaks? It is the East, and I can see Russia from my front porch."

Way to go congress. I heard on MPR that they have different unemployment benefits in the US depending on which state you live in..
saya - congrats on the extra $$

Saya, my mistake ... I should have been clearer. The House of Representatives had already passed it quite some time ago, but it was being held up by a Republican filibuster in the Senate. So Tuesday when the Senate swore in the temporary replacement for the deceased Senator Byrd, the new Democratic Senator was able to immediately able to cast his vote to override the Republican filibuster and the measure passed the Senate.

So when I said Congress passed the unemployment compensation extension, I meant that both the House of Representatives and the Senate had passed it.

My girlfriend always makes my day. Last night she came home from playwriting drunk off her ass (girl weighs 120 pounds and rarely has the foresight to eat more than fruit for lunch). After depositing her on the sofa and making her some toast with my legendary garlic & basil butter - which she ate lying on her back while looking at it strangely - she curled up and couldn't be coaxed to bed because "walking is really uncomfy". When I finally pick her up, telling her bed will be comfy, she's trying to lookaround banging her head against my shoulder going, "It doesn't FEEL comfy" as I carry her in in this inadvertantly cute little voice, and can't stop saying it until we get there.

She's usually the least girly-girl I've ever met, so having something to taunt her with in a simpering voice is hella fun. Plus I just bought myself a night of drunken incoherence in which she will be obligated to bring me food.

I am getting an iPod for free. I didn't want to buy one on account of Steve Jobs representing all that is wrong with the world, but I have no such moral hangups about receiving someone else's.

JCC, while I pretty much abhor all things Apple, I really can't say there's anything wrong with getting an iPod for free. Well, you will have to install iTunes on your computer ... hmmm.

Still, free is cool.

Saya, I need to correct my earlier statement. While the House had voted for and passed a previous version of the bill, the version that was passed by the Senate on Tuesday was (due to technically being a different bill) passed by the House today and will be signed into law by the President this afternoon.

Well, I installed iTunes two minutes ago and it is already failing to work, so Apple are living up to reputation.

Figuring out I can take a week long vacation and travel comfortably with only carry on luggage. (Good thing the house we're renting has a washer and dryer! LOL!)

Fruitbat, congrats on the Great Aunt status.

And yay for no poo-sposions!

I'm contemplating spending the rest of the day trying to work that phrase into conversations.
