Do make an effort to get some kind of regular annual or bi-annual appointment set up- it will make sure that any little problems are caught before they become big problems, and may even help prevent the little problems in the first place. It costs me £6.50 for each check up, so for £13/year I feel sure that my teeth and gums are nice and healthy, and know I can rely on my dentist to sort out any difficulties.
My filling last year cost me something like £20, but if I had a white enamel one rather than the plain metal one I ended up choosing, it would have me £60-£80. NHS does make things a little cheaper sometimes, but I get the impression that wisdom teeth are pricey things over here as well.
I thought your home country had excellent standards of healthcare for the general populace rather than charging prohibitive fees?

We do, but when it comes to Dentists it's severely skewed... as it is today, most people above a certain age can't afford to go there. (ofcourse, it could have changed, I'm not particularly wellinformed regarding that actually)

Dentists seem to be the counterpoint everywhere. American dentists seem to be more expensive than doctors, and over here in the UK you can get NHS treatment for damn near any condition, even the ones which aren't disfiguring and life threatening, but only get free dental work if it's got to the point that you've developed some nasty infection that's threatening your general lifespan.
Stupidity, en masse.
Also, heehee at the Santa joke. Reminds me of a Chopping Block comic, which I must find for you.

I have the best friends ever. My one very hipster (and super hot) friend told me he owns a pair of 70's style short white shorts that he got for 5 bucks, and that he's gonna wear them downtown (no homo).
My friends are amazing.

It's too much effort. I hate wrapping presents, I hate all the food lying around looking at me, daring me to eat it
I just want to go for a walk and then finish my book
Eldritch is looking spiffy in his hat

Have your walk, then, and read. A good long afternoon's walk will keep you away from distraction and if the frost's good in your area then you'll have some beautifully frozen bits of scenery to enjoy. If you have a camera, this'd be a good time to get some practice- very few people will be out to spoil the view. (Just make sure to bring thin but warm gloves!)
If the presence of the food's too much, why not keep to rooms of the house which do not have the in-your-face overabundance?

If I go out now I will never get the presents wrapped in time. I'll be too distracted. I don't do photography, besides, I would have to endure father's traditional 4 hour lecture on how to operate a very easy to use camera. And he's pissing me off as it is.
I will have to spend my entire christmas confined upstairs to avoid food . Even as I type, mother is making mince pies

I am really really SHIT at wrapping presents. It looks like a four year old went apeshit with wrapping paper and sellotape.

It's 12:13 p.m., and I just woke up. Then again, I didn't expect to wake up much earlier, considering that I went to sleep at around 6:30 a.m. I heard my mother waking up, and I thought "oh shit." Go me!

A couple times last year I went rather nocturnal. I'd sleep around 7am and wake up around 2pm. I have to be very rigid when it comes to waking up and going to sleep or my sleep schedule goes completely off like that. I'm not good at being rigid about it, but...
I hate it when people can't just sing a song, like an anthem or Christmas song. They always seem to have to mangle it. There are many times and places for doing one's own thing, but anthems and Christmas songs, in my opinion, are not one of them.

No, there are good guys. I know a bunch of good guys. The reason most of them are good is because they're taken and their women drill the goodness into them. hehe.

We tend to play Sweet Transvestite more often.

I was very tempted to sing Sweet Transvestite for Open Mic at my school last year. I was pretty good at it. :]

Sweet Transvestite is my favorite song from that movie. So amazing. I need to go see a Rocky Horror Picture Show. The local on is on a winter break.
