I have a question.

It has nothing to do with this forum, but it has something to do with a picture / two pictures I found on the internet, of which I started to wonder what meant.

I was searching for the words "gothic cross" in google to find a cool picture, as an inspiration to a tattoo I'm planning on getting. And when I did that I got these two pictures of which I wanted to tattoo:

And I wondered if someone here knows what this cross means, or if it means anything at all. I've seen it so many times before but I cannot remember why and where and how and so on. So that is my wuestion. Does this cross mean something, and in case it does, what does it mean?

The ones m1sery posted just look (in my opinion) like crosses embellished with 'gothic' accent clip art.

This cross is closer to a Celtic Cross.


Seeing as how both Pagans and Christians are known to use crosses as faith symbols, sometimes altering the direction of the display of the Cross, you can have as many different answers as the number of people you ask about the meaning of a particular Cross.
