I was putting on my make up and my daughter asked me about the foundation step of the process. So as I was putting it on I was explaining it to her (maybe not the wisest thing to do with a mischievous 6 year old?) and when I was done applying she told me that it made me look "brand new"

Finding out about this book after it was highlighted on a Sunday morning television program:
P.S. I Hate It Here!: Kids' Letters from Camp
Here's a letter they shared on TV:
Dear Mom,
Day 5 of camp is a lot better. The rash on my p-nus is gone, and now I can run.
Love, Josh
I gotta get this book. It kinda reminds me of the old Alan Sherman comedy classic "Hello Muddah Hello Faddah"!

Aren't you a student? Just follow your nose sweetheart On a more helpful note, go to a skatepark or anywhere where teenagers (17-19, rather than 13-15) hang out. Ask the skaters, punks, and sketchbags.
The show tonight might have made my day, but it's pouring rain and shows no sign of stopping, so that may be disapointing.

As this was last night, I count it as today. My mom made us eggs, toast, and bacon at 11 at night. <3

Food. Food. Food. (10 character limit - I really only liked food once but was forced to repeat it). Oh hang on. Oh well.
Buying a house - but that's shite scary more than making my day.

Buying a house is scary, but it is also awesome and will make your day Fruitbat
The car people just called and made my day by telling me finance has been approved. Yay for new car... Hmmm, not so "yay" about now being in more debt.

I share your sentiments CP about the debt. Did you end up getting the Mazda 626?
What were you driving before?

I did have a Hyundai Getz that recently got hail damaged and written off. I didn't think it was that bad but the insurance company was offering to pay the remaining loan amount and pay me whatever was left over. I was pretty happy with that outcome.
I did not get the Mazda, I got a Ford G6E. I used some of the money I got back from insurance as a deposit on the new car. I'm extremely pleased about having it (which I actually don't yet, I collect it on Wednesday) but not so pleased about being in more debt. My boyfriend and I are paying off a mortgage as of January this year, it is much easier doing it together and totally worth it but it's still pretty lame having a massive loan. I'm really lucky I have a job I enjoy so working to pay it off isn't too bad. A lot of people aren't so lucky...
I was planning on getting a new car in a few months anyway, I figured why bother buying an intermediate car and waiting, might as well just get a new one now if I can. Turns out they didn't mind lending me money again
Where are you buying property?

My friend wrote the last three lines of his essay (which I completed, btw. )
"Ethan cried. And it was good. Like 3 bananas in a parking lot."
'Twas a 10 on the Random scale. :3

Knowing I have friends coming over tonight for the first time in forever.
I just wish it was a Friday instead of a Monday.

Absolutely fabulous news!! **doing a happy dance, crashing into the furniture, over the lounge, tripping over the cat but I'm still dancing**
CP - Bought a new car about 10 years ago, still have it (have had a lot of second hand cars inbetween). New cars are nice Congrats.

So far, what's made my day today is this Big Breakfast with Hot Cakes from McD's. Washing it down with an Irish Creme latte. *drool*

Stumbling across the Ded Bob Sing-along page, which includes the lyrics to the smash hit "Old Ded Bob's Dysfunctional Farm", reminds me that we're less than 2 months away from the start of the Texas Renaissance Festival. YAY!
The Texas Renaissance Festival is the largest Ren Fair in the United States, covering 53 acres of theme-filled entertainment for 8 weekends in October and November. And each weekend covers a different theme, from Oktoberfest to the Pirate Adventure to the Barbarian Invasion and more.
I'm having a hard time deciding which weekend I want to attend, but I do know I want to go this year (haven't been since 2007) and see some jousting, some Ded Bob, the juggler Arsene (he's amazing) and spend a bit of time drinking some ale at the Sea Devil Tavern.
Plus, with luck I'll see Tartanic perform again.

Dude have you ever been to Scarborough faire? Obviously it's probably smaller than the TRF but it's still fun.
