Goth on a budget

Well, I'm basically dirt poor at the moment and I don't get much income for clothes. I was wondering if anyone would wanna give me tips on buying affordable clothes that fall into the goth style, and what kind of pieces would be good.

Here we go 'round the mulberry bush,
The mulberry bush,
The mulberry bush.
Here we go 'round the mulberry bush,
So early in the morning.

These are the chores we'll do this week,
Do this week,
Do this week.
These are the chores we'll do this week,
So early every morning.

This is the way we wash our clothes,
Wash our clothes,
Wash our clothes.
This is the way we wash our clothes,
So early Monday morning.

This is the way we iron our clothes,
Iron our clothes,
Iron our clothes.
This is the way we iron our clothes,
So early Tuesday morning.

This is the way we scrub the floor,
Scrub the floor,
Scrub the floor.
This is the way we scrub the floor,
So early Wednesday morning.

This is the way we mend our clothes,
Mend our clothes,
Mend our clothes.
This is the way we mend our clothes,
So early Thursday morning.

This is the way we sweep the floor,
Sweep the floor,
Sweep the floor.
This is the way we sweep the floor,
So early Friday morning.

This is the way we bake our bread,
Bake our bread,
Bake our bread.
This is the way we bake our bread,
So early Saturday morning.

This is the way we get dressed up,
Get dressed up,
Get dressed up.
This is the way we get dressed up,
So early Sunday morning.

Here we go 'round the mulberry bush,
The mulberry bush,

Go to thrift stores and the salvation army. You can find pants and shirts for under 3 dollars if you look. you'll have to go a few times though, and maybe try a few different stores. When you find some basic pieces iron or sew on patches from your favorite bands etc. You can also find a design on the internet, download it and print it on iron-on paper. Modify the items etc.

A pair of chucks, some black jeans that fit, a belt, a few shirts with buttons.

When more money happens maybe a few ties, perhaps a jacket.

Sound ok?

I normally try to give reasonable and polite advice but I need you to read the first link with the quickness. Twice, even.

Really, just get stuff that's comfortable, well cared for and gently used if buying second hand, learn to sew (if you're able) and breathable fabrics if you're out in the desert. IT'S REALLY NOT THAT HARD.

Try ebay, or DIY. Or try getting a better paying job.

I like ebay most though : )

If you're dirt poor and you're worrying about goth clothes, you have bigger problems than where to buy your retarded looking poet's shirts.

GOODWILL GOOD WILL GOODWILL! I love good will...just saying....

no, but really, some of my favorite clothes come from there. My favorite outfit I got, from head to toe including shoes, was 12 bucks. Shoes, pants, tuxedo blouse, and vest. Now on the other hand, there are some more expensive brands that I do like, lip service for example. But I rarely buy it because with a few alterations I can make my current clothes similar with much more personal taste and much less money. I also love target. Damn, the clearence rack in the woman's section of target is usually alot of fun. And that is another thing, don't be afraid to wear woman's clothes. Sometimes the best button downs and best pants come from the woman's department.

You know, I wear a variety of things, but some of my favorites are thing I found for two bucks at Goodwill. I have whole outfits that cost less than 15 bucks, at best.
