*Freaking out and Hyperventalating*
Okay *takes deep breath* I need help. I just got a call for an interview and I need help. Sadly I am a college student and have never done an interview before, even though my first job was offered by a friend of mine. So I need advice.
By the way, I didn't know where to post this, so hope this is ok. If not, will an admin be so kind as to move it?
Please help me.

Plan what you're going to wear. It's a terrible, terrible thing to have to acknowledge ( ) but pretty people get better jobs. It's true, there have been actual studies done to prove it.
Secondly, do you have a resume?
Thirdly, do you have MSN? I can add you and give you more in-depth advice, si tu veut.

First... Chillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll... . listen to Enya, do some yoga, beat up someone, whatever relaxes you. The more relaxed you feel, the more confident you will come off.
Let your resume (even if it is "just college") speak clearly for itself. Keep it to one page, add a page for cover letter stating what you are looking for and a little about how you see yourself fitting into the company. Try to fit references on the resume, or have an additional page ready with three (ideally 2 professional, one personal)... ALSO- have it on a paper stock that is higher quality and off-white, it will stick out.
Have 3 copies of your resume. That bit me in the butt once.
Seriously, most interview question sare standard- most challenging experience and how you dealt with it (please, do not use prepping for the interview as the challenging experience, lol!), most rewarding experience, life enriching extracurriculars. I would Google "Interview Questions"- usually Career Magazine and Forbes hav ethe most used ones. Knowing in general what you will be asked will help you relax about it.
Focus on your strengths, play them up. Acknowledge your weakensses or "areas of improvement" and what you have been doing to remedy them. Even if you aren't asked, reinforcing what you can do and what you are actively doing will help get you into the mindset of the interview.
Dress to impress, save crazy personal expression for after you get the gig, but at the same time, don't aim to blend. Keep to professional attire with something funky but small. A wild necklace will show your personality and professionalism better than wrist cuffs... the colors red or deep green, solids... stick to basic, then add something to make you visually rememberable.
Most importantly, smile, be relaxed, have a couple of (Clean) jokes or ice breakers. At least appear to have a good time. If you ge tthrough an interview easy-peasy, they will see you as gettin gtheough the job easy- and also well prepared.
And when they say "Tell me a little about yourself"- instead of rattlin goff what they can plainly read on your resume- Ask them if they have reviewed your resume and if they have any questions about the experiences listed. Then ask "What else would you like to know?"
You should interview them as much as they are interviewing you. YOu want them to want you, they want you to want them.

Confidence and good attire. I've gotten my best jobs by being confident. Dress good but aproprietly for the job your seeking. Suchs as don't wear a three piece suit if your going to work at a farm, etc...
Goodluck!

Dress nicely. Be punctual. Be yourself, also be polite and warm.

I don't know if your interview has already taken place, but anyway, here's a piece of advice someone gave me and it has worked every time.
RELAX! When you're nervous everything goes to the pits. Also, when you're relaxed you tend to remember the stuff you should say and do.

Oops.
Yeah, my bastardized Franglais is more for kicks than for grammar, but it's definitely something I should work on if I'm going to write it out, eh?
