Yeah you do, and this is as good a place to do so, lord knows it kept me sane when I was going through everything with my dad. This place may be full of assholes but most of them are assholes with good hearts.

Yeah, whining is TOTALLY necessary. Know what happens when you don't let the bad vibes out? They come out anyway, probably in the form of taking it out on those around you who don't deserve your ire. No person is "strong" enough to absorb the horrible shitstorms life can throw at you over long periods without a break or any real help. You have every right to be angry and upset, both at what's happening to your mum and at the selfishness of your family.

It's a shame all the people here can do is provide a sounding board, but I really don't think you need to worry about letting off steam. You certainly shouldn't feel guilty about it. Just wish your family were giving you the hugs and tea and cake I wish we could right now.

When it comes down to it Cuckoo, you just have to be grateful for what you do have instead of dwelling on what you don't. I can't do anything to make them stop being dicks, all I can do is try and be the best I can right now. There will be time to lose my shit at them later but now is not the right time.

MissC - Hugs. Maybe you need to say something to your siblings. Remind them that your mum did cleaned up after them when they were little and it's about time they returned the favour.

Sometimes people get complacent about things, or as my in-law's say "well he/she's a perfectly capable person, they can handle it" which really pisses me off and I'm always jumping in to help others. Ask them. Tell them that fruitbat said "Get off your lazy asses and help MissC out."

I'd help if I lived in the same country.

AFM - Farking sick of being sick and sick of even thinking about taking pain medication. Colds, stomach bugs, more colds, sinus problems and now I'm almost deaf, dizzy and exhausted. Antibiotics didn't help, so now I'm stuck with ibuprofen and viral vertigo.

What I particularly like is the fact that my face goes numb whenever I do too much (like a couple of loads of washing).

Fuck it.

And the heat just makes one uncomfortable (although there have been a few heat related deaths), but when a wildfire started up in town close enough to my ex-girlfriend's apartment that she was worried about having to evacuate, it becomes more than just a season of discomfort.

But if you're suggesting that people make a judgement based on the avatar, and say things that patently aren't true because of it, that is pretty much what I was driving at.

(Since the animated GIF's were outlawed as avatars and there are only 3 members that still have one grand-fathered in by my accounting, to this point I've decided to stick with it. Plus, it's a lot easier on the eyes than I am.)

I do understand what you mean but if you look at who has accused you of talking about sex all of the time I am not one of them, I'm pretty sure I talk about sex as much as anyone so it would would be a rather strange thing for me to do. That being said, having an overtly sexual avi (or an overtly sexual sig) makes people think of you as being someone who is very interested in sex so they are more likely to think it is something that you are likely to talk about and whenever you do (which isn't exactly uncommon) it just further confirms this perception. Yay confirmation bias!

Do you live near the Philly area? If you do, I can show up at their house and start screaming about what horrible people they are. Maybe some strange guy just randomly popping up and telling them (and all they're neighbors) that they're bad people might get it through their head.
