Just remember to keep your body type in mind, you may have a really hard time loosing any more, if you are still unhappy with your figure you could switch your focus from weight loss to toning muscles.

For some reason it is really easy to build muscle on my body. I'm considered obese, so I still need to lose weight.

I've got this stupid gut pooch going on.

And my ass is made of cottage cheese.

And it's not like I eat too much. I only eat twice (sometimes once) a day. It's probably WHAT I'm eating that's the problem. And I don't think about switching to vegetables. I can eat and eat and eat vegetables and fruit all day long but I'm still hungry.

I need a bike.

We've got this ski machine that nobody uses. My father insists it will help. It's mind-numbingly dull. And he forgets I've got a fucked up leg.

You should try to eat more frequently, that way your body is constantly fueled and wont need to store that energy as fat.

Try something that will tone you up without building additional muscle mass, yoga would be a good place to start.

As stated earlier, the 4-5 small meals a day method is the way to go. Oh, but don't just focus too much on losing weight, work on your attitudes, as well.

It depends. How many pounds do you plan on losing in a week?

Maybe 1 or 2 a week, well I hope to anyway. I'd like to lose 20 lbs by November.

2 weeks? Sounds good.

Others will most likely notice a change if you drop 20 lbs, but you will see a definite change in yourself after 5 or 10 lbs.

Not the only difference you'll see. For example where I'm working now is my first active job where I'm running around carrying heavy things, I was horribly out of shape now but not even three weeks after working there I managed to hike here from the grocery store with at least fifty pounds of groceries, and felt fine afterwards. I could never do that before without throwing my back out.

Yeah, I'll be able to do real push-ups, ride the nordtack bike for 20 minutes without feeling like I ran a mile, jog more than half a mile without feeling way out of breath, not to mention I'll have dropped 4-6 sizes.

I fucked up bad... for the last 3 days, I snacked on popcorn drank 3 liters of soda, and didn't get any time on the nordtrack. Of course, this being a the first time I've tried anything like this, I expected to fuck up ... but not in the first couple of weeks. What should I do? No soda for a month, or just let it be in the past and not worry about it, focus more on the next 5 months and 3 weeks?

Three litres? What is it about soda that you like? There's a lot of juices that are way better than soda and doesn't bloat you up, take a look around the grocery store. I also drink a lot of chocolate almond milk if I'm craving soda, its uber cheap like soda is.

As for popcorn, if you really like it, what I do is I buy the popcorn seeds and pop them in a pot over the stove. I then use Earth Balance (just get a low fat margarine if you can't find Earth Balance) and melt it over the popcorn. A few people I know use nutritional yeast for a cheesy taste or something like cinnamon, there's a whole lot of different toppings you can make yourself and its no where near as fatty as microwave popcorn.

It's Jiffy Pop that I ate, and I love the taste of soda... Coke and Dr. Pepper.

Still better to pop your own, and you won't have to toss out aluminium. Think of all the bottles you'll save by not drinking soda too ^_^ Get a nice water bottle as well that you can just fill up. Saves money not having to buy things like that.

I like soda, though... I want to get laid, too, though..... soda's overrated, and doesn't taste that good.

I promise you once you give it up you'll be glad you did, and you'll probably pay for it after a while if you do lapse, it really hurts your stomach to drink soda again if you haven't had it in a long time.

GOD i wish I could stop drinking soda...It sucks though when you have no one to hold you accountable...if those I hang out with all the time didn't have that shit around me...it would be fucking easy to stop eating and drinking the bad stuff...duane i think it would be better if you had someone to hold you accountable. Whether it be your family members or friends or even one friend. That way they can stop you when your trying to be a bad boy.
