If I reported a post and it was effectively removed, and I reported another post later and it was effectively removed, yes I would trust that moderation was being done. I don't need a moderator patting themselves on the back to know the job is being done.

Irrelevant. That's if the posts were removed. We have not seen this. (In this case, replace "post" with "topic.") I mean, in this very topic there have been complaints about certain topics. Those complaints have been agreed with by other members other than the original complainer. Those topics still exist. (Unless they were removed while I was typing this particular post, in which case I apologize.) Do you not see the error in your logic?
I'm not trying to be a jerk. I'm merely pointing out that if we the regular members of this site were more aware of mod/admin actions, we'd be more likely to report offensive topics/posts. (Well, in all honesty, I must say "I" rather than "we.")

I know you are not trying to be a jerk, but complaining in the forum and reporting the post are two different actions. Reported posts are evaluated, but just because someone complains in a thread doesn't mean it's noteworthy. I've seen seven people complain in an obvious spambot thread and not one actually reported the post.

I have a problem with the harassment some of us are receiving from a member on here. I have tried over and over and OVER to contact someone to have something done. Yet nothing has changed. I'm asking for someone to pay more attention to what is going on.

@BeckSlater78: Would you please just drop it and stop complaining, the FBI does not honestly give a crap about a topic about cybering the person below you. And just cause the owner or mods of this site do not take action the prevent the topics and posting, the FBI will not hold the owner responisble but rather the person posting it. Trust me i know and if you possible think you know about internet laws please try me cause i have been arrested for breaking internet laws before so i have them pretty much memorized, so please just drop it...

No need to be a bitch about it, I was just trying to help. This is supposed to be a forum where we spell correctly, but whatever I was just trying to help.

Ok, see, I have a problem here.
Gnet, you have just posted several times, so I cannot complaing about activity.
But now I don't seem to find any of BeckySlater's posts, yet I can see the "Cyber" thread.
That makes me doubt of how seriously you take the popular oppinion against your own standards.
It's like we're back to the banning wave almost a year ago, and that would almost imply you would have reasons to ban me too.

Hello Gothic.net.
I do not plan on criticizing your moderation efforts or the like. I have a request for you though. Could you delete all of my posts from the "Reincarnation of the poetry thread" in the Literature section please? I would really appreciate that. If you need to ban me to make my posts go away, do not hesitate to do so.
Sincerely,
Mir.

LostAndCrazy: I think there is a policy stated in the FAQ somewhere that they won't delete your posts because you leave or whatever, they are there for posterity, which is a good thing, because you have written so many awesome things that should be shared with us! Please don't have them deleted.
(But it doesn't hurt ask them to, they might, but I hope they don't, because your writings are in the true letter and spirit of Gnet!)
Are you concerned with copyright protection? Why do you want them deleted?

HumanePain: Thanks as always for your kind comments. Its complicated. I don't think I'd be able to explain fully, just why I want my posts deleted. I did send the Forum Administrator an email asking him to delete/ban my account. If he fails to do so, I could always go the kiddie porn route. =P

Charming and expected, as par usual, gothic.net. I believe you sure as fuck put in the user agreements that we cannot post anything implying sexual acts whatsoever on the messageboard. Would you like me to quote you it, or do you not already know the user agreements that YOU made? Also, if a certain thread broke the user agreement rules, shouldn't YOU take responsibility for your website and remove such a thread?

Don't underestimate the FBI, bucko. They like e-arsefucking people to cause some kind of annoyance. Have you not read BeckySlater's messages in the Cyber thread? If so, I think it would do you a good deal to read it. But oh, wait......... we CAN'T because it was removed by our ever dilligent website administrator. It stated a previous example of what happens when the FBI decides to step in on a messageboard, but instead they decided to take away the whole messageboard.

Well, if you want all your messages to be wiped out, go type in the general forum about lots of incredibly intelligent things while sticking your finger high at gnet, and they may remove your posts. Either that or you could just go round and as a joke, go on about how much you hate certain.........fuzzy bi-sexual treehugging pandabear loving uber friendly cultures of people and that may work if shouting at administrators doesn't work. Just don't act like you're from the Mickey Mouse Klub because......

@Corpsey: Why did you put quoted by Fuck-knuckle? thats not my user name and if you want to discuss the fbi i could call them in for you calling me that when its slander...
and i did read her postings in it but the fact is she is wrong all the feds will do is take on the user posting not the owner of the site. I know the feds, one of my best freinds works at the FBI office in Texas, and i happen to be in the USAF and i took one year of law at the ACAD so i know what they can and can not do so don't test me. If they tried to take down the forum for someone esles posting the owner could take them to court for it, cause i have seen it done before.

Exactly, and you, along with a small group of other former members, are the ones leading the charge on creating that perception. The same group of people who were responsible for creating the fake 'troll invasion' in March or whatever.

You've been kicked off this site numerous times. Your negative agenda is not welcomed here. You are only here to cause problems and make things seem a lot worse than they are. It's just what you do.

I don't see any old member unless they're that Dowelstore guy. Please, just erase those new spam threads and the Cyber thread (and possibly that Boob thread)

Ok, we'll try the explaination route, against my better judgement. Up till thismorning, we've not gotten any thread/post reports on any sort of 'cyber' thread. We'll go look for it, but Becky didn't report it, she just went on and on about how the government should be called into action because the admins here didn't catch a potentially inappropriate post that nobody bothered to report. The only post reports we've gotten recently (aside from the one you sent in on Becky and om3gag0th666 bickering over stupid things), up till thismorning anyway, are about Becky being a troll to be wholly honest. But Becky has already been kicked off before for being a problem, numerous times. We're just not falling for the fake innocent alarmist doom and gloom shtick from that crew anymore. They already wore out their welcome.
And look, the 'spambot' activity this afternoon dramatically increased. What an amazing coincidence.

I saw the increase in spam, but I would never relate it with Becky.
Anyway, just a correction. My report was exclusively about omega's pointless threads.

Ok, personally, I found the cyber thread to fall into the category of having a sense of humor, but if people are bothered by the nature of the content, we'll go ahead and knock it out. Still no actual reports on that thread though.

If you had access to as much information as the administrators do, you might start to see the connection, but that's not really important. Threads reported, threads evaluated, threads removed. But Becky was overreacting and got called out for it. There are people here who enjoy this site and are really tired of the small group of people who come here and try their best to get people all hopped up on some really petty complaints and manufactured problems. I'm not shocked that they are starting to get more pushback on their histrionic overly dramatic damnations of 'the admins' or the site or whatever. These are not real serious issues being presented and magnified. If Becky just didn't like the cyber thread, maybe she should have actually reported it, instead of making a case about how the site admins clearly condone this that and the other horrible thing, blah blah blah... Just report it and it's probably gone.

I have to agree with the Admin here, based on personal experience: I have reported two problematic threads previously and they were both deleted within a day or so.
