Jerkwad beats Toddler to death for being too girly...
A 17 month old baby-person got beat to death by his future 20 year old step dad for acting too "effeminate".
How a toddler can be overly masculine or effeminate is beyond me. Its like a whole new level of weird machismo, because apparently the guy was trying to "toughen him up", by beating the shit out of him.
Anyway... dudes lookin' at 20 years.

AD - This is such a sad story. There is no excuse for hitting children. Toughing up kids? 17mth olds don't understand gay or straight.
Maybe the toddler had been taking on his mother's mannerisms and that's why he was effeminate. Being a good rolemodel would have been a much better option - but that would have involved Pedro giving the child some of his time.
Heaven forbid Pedro actually taking on a parenting role with the child he considered his own.

True. One of my friends had a BF that beat the hell out of her son for carrying around a stuffed bear with a diaper on it. He was one of those idiots that believed in gender roles and seemed to be a bit threatened by our friendship because I'm bi and normally act a little butch in person. He also didn't like 'fags'.

I hate strict gender roles... people act like one can't tell a man from a woman without different clothing, pre determined hairstyles and make up.
Either way.. I'm still trying to figure out what constitutes "effeminate" for a kid who's not even a year and a half old...
IMO 20 years isn't long enough...
