I have not heard from Al as of yet, and seen as I'm at work, I doubt I will in the next few hours.

If anyone can get in touch with him and see how he's doing, please give him my best and post here what you've dug up.

Anyway, regarding Alkilyu, here's my take on it: a good soldier makes for a lousy diplomat.

Alkilyu's too frontal and direct to be a good moderator.

Don't get me wrong. All the reasons why I think he's a great member are the exact same reasons why he shouldn't moderate. He's extremely passionate and involved in everything he does to be able to distance himself coldly and give an opinion.

That's the way I like him and I hope he won't go away on account of this.

A little show of support for the man would also be appreciated.

Either here or on the Japanese thread.

Naw, he's about as frontal and direct as the others, when they're riled. If there's more coming from Al it's not by much. I've seen some serious flaming coming from the mods and members here. I've engaged in it. I loves ya, but I don't agree with that one.

Rather, the admins feel that he's too frontal and direct to be a mod. Don't report it as a fact if it's a subjective decision.

Since he's always been controversial, and since it's their board, I can let that stand if it's their choice and not a stated fact, but I don't agree with it.

I did miss my friends here a lot, and yet at the same time while I was gone I met someone who changed my life. For the first time in over two years I am extremely happy and have a reason to live, which fucks up my overall plans but dammit she is worth it. Only EPS knows who it is, and it will probably remain that way for awhile at least. If anyone is happy I am here, you have her to thank. If you are unhappy with my return, well then Yeti you can thank her for that too. It was her (her being her, just so you don't think I am having an affair with EPS) urging me to return that made me decide to...for now at least....
