I like black because it looks smart and I see it as a powerful shade/colour. The other reason is because it goes well with anything.

I wear black for several reasons:
* its the color of protection
* it is a reminder of the pain i have suffered and the light i found at the end
* i find peace in it
* it seems never ending a deep color to me not shallow
* it is a way of seperating for me
* it makes the preps leave me alone

but i also like deep reds

It reminds me of the color of my flesh after I've slowly crushed the burning head of a clove cigarette against the most sensitive part of my inner wrist.

Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I like it.

I said other because in my opinion black just goes with everything. No matter where you are going it is acceptable attire. The color black can be worn no matter how you feel that day. Not mention it's easy to color coordinate. You can combine black and more black or even some reds, purples, and whatever little colors you want to combine it with. And the best reason is that it looks damn good and makes you look sophisticated and/or awesome! Depending on how you wear it of course.

Quite, I've seen dudes in baggy black tshirts and black sweatpants (the ones that tighten around the ankle) and they definitely don't look cool.

Then again, some of my deepest hate is reserved for baggy clothes and sweatpants that tighten round the ankle. And Birkenstocks.

I don't know why everyone else wears black, but for me it is kind of a "safety color." Yes it can repel others in a dominating way, but it also makes it easier to hide. Really you can do a lot with black (which isn't really a color, 'tis a sensation) and that makes popular among those who don't fear using it and how people will react to you wearing it.

Hm. So many reasons, but the most down-to-earth reason is simply it goes with anything. And brings out a slim feature on almost everyone (in all black, that is)

It's slimming, it looks good on everyone, and its less abrasive then, say, bright yellow or neon green.

But when black is combined with neon green, one can be Green Lanternish.

I wear black because I like it, and it means that I don't have to sort lights and darks. Everyone knows I'm lazy when it comes to laundry. And it makes me look pale...

I'm just pissed off because my two favourite actual colours - red and purple - can NOT be worn together. I hiss and spit and have to contain rage and brain-pain whenever I see someone wearing the two together.

Because neons aren't associated with mystery and dark romanticism.

I wear black because the more I think about it, the more I feel like I would just feel uncomfortable and awkward in bright colors. I usually just wear black. I don't really fit into a sub catagory for fashion (vistorian, etc...). I mainly look similar to a mortician or jack skellington.

I put 'other'. Black just suits me. It goes with every colour I would ever be seen in (ie. dark jewel tones). It goes with nearly all jewellery. It highlights pale skin. It suits my hair (both natural blond and dyed black).

Black is associated with night and all things dark. It reflects the way I feel and the things I am interested in.

So yeah, black is cool. But most people don't wear it just for one reason.

I personally like wearing black cause I love how it looks on me. Deep down inside I feel dark at times yes but that's not the only reason why I love wearing it. There's many different reasons why: I love horror movies and I seem to watch a lot of horror movies. I'm very into the paranormal and I usually wear black when I go outside if I ever ghost hunt. The clothing style is amazing: especially Victorian which I'm obsessed with. Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite Author & Poet. Don't wear black to simply try to fit in or to be different, it's who I am as a person and black expresses how I feel in so many different ways.

and this interests me as well.

Other. I guess I mostly wear black because I find it comfortable and calming. And nowadays I'm just not attracted by bright colours. I don't know. I feel better in black.
