I want to NOT DO CHRISTMAS! I never really liked Chirstmas in the first place. Now Im living In Japan (with a Host family) and I have to do a lame Japanese Christmas and waste a shit ton of money, which I dont have, on stupid presents. My HostSis wants a Taylor Swift CD.... and in Japan CDs cost liek 35 USD. I dont have a work Visa so Im broke as shit. And I already ate rice on Thanksgiving.... i'll be damned if im gonna eat rice on Christmas (which I didnt even really celebrate in the USA)...
So how about one of you buy my a one way ticket back to America?

You're really confusing me. Can you explain me why you said "17 is not that old"?

I want a gift card to a major department store.
I don't really know what I want anymore. I always get a gift certificate and go shopping. I've recieved other things. A few years ago, I got a scanner. Other than that, it's like I really don't appreciate anything. Almost positive there was something else last year... fuzzy bedtime slippers... pajams... organizing folders... I don't know. There was something else though. I think I got a gift card to the movies too.

I'm basically against it. I can never be sure I'll have the possibility to return it later. And there's the srmy here, too. It's better the Russian army, though...

Hell yeah. 17 is too young to be on your own. It ain't healthy.
But as you're paying attention to this debacle, can you explain me what the fuck Onyx is talking about?
It seems Teslajane isn't 17 and the "17 is not that old!" commentary made no fucking sense whatsoever, coming from Onyx's nether regions which I'm genuinely convinced are the actual source of her cognitive powers.
Serves me right for thinking she would say something coherent.

I know I'm getting boots and an iPod Touch. Other than that, I asked for money. I need to build up my CD collection now that I'm driving; the radio stations around here are crap.

It's pretty much impossible to be on your own at such an early age and not expirence some kind of homelessness, betrayel, or R*A*P*E. Anyone who thinks otherwise and goes with their everso brilliant plan will expirence an early grave. Believe me I've TRIED.
And you don't have to repeat or beat yourself up, Oynx. That just makes things awkward.

I did it, you stupid emo boy, and I'm here and kicking, though I won't say it was easy, or that I don't bear the scars or the mental damage. But it might have been worse if I still was at my parents' place. Guess it might be the same with her, unless she's an outraged teen who ran from her parents' home off the weekend to be rebelious chuse she's angry with them.
It is possible. It even isn't such a good ides.
Depends much on where you live, the laws in your country about work and undwerage, your freinds ( I has to really depend on people I barely knew, if at all ), your teachers, etc. And you'll have to work your ass off without giving up on school.
And find an apartment as soon as possible. It's not that hard.

um I got kind of confused too..
-so "tesla-jane" said she needed new clothes bc her mom won't give them back until she moves back in
-onyxbat says something about boots and:"What's up with your mom, 17 is not that old
-you (& at first i did too) thought probably she(onyxbat) implied moving out at 17 is ok
-it seems she only meant having boots at 17 is good
-which is completly irrelevant b/c in tesla-jane's post it was never stated that her mom thought wearing boots was not good since she's only 17( and we get 17 as her age b/c onyxbat said that); it only said she wanted new clothes b/c her mom wouldn't give them to her...
I do agree that even though we read "too fast" her posts are very confusing and irrelevant

I agree with this (not the part about him being a stupid emo boy though). Although leaving your house at a young age might not be the healthiest thing ever, sometimes it is less unhealthy than staying in your house, (but if you leave b/c you can't go out until your grades are up,then that is just plain stupid). Also, moving out might turn out to be even worse. It is all a matter of making smart and tactful decisions. In my situation things turned out extremly well, and I moved out when I was 14...
