I look at it like this. the Darkness is a funny band. The singer can sing and all kinds of sit, the guitarist is phenomenal. They're basically doing a lot of the same retarded shit as some goth bands they just made money of of it and subtracted the dark aesthetic. (Disclaimer. I'm not bashing goth rock, I love it.)
