new member. really
Y'ALL DON'T KNOW ME
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Studying a masters in economics and working in the same department. I'd have gotten a BS in mathematics at the same time if I weren't so goddamn lazy.
2. Where are you from?
Ciudad Juarez
3. Who is your favorite author?
For what it's worth, it's still Deleuze. Zizek's a close second, though.
4. What are your favorite films?
Nothing beats American Tail. Titus, The Dictator, City Lights, and The Seventh Seal get special mentions. The three films I consider are near perfect are Modern Times, Pan's Labyrinth, and Back to the Future. I also watch The Prince of Egypt and Thirteen Going on Thirty every single time they're on. Every single time.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
If I marry the one I'm with right now, we've accorded that our song is gonna be The Story by Norah Jones, and the band will be a swing band.
6. At your funeral?
New Orleans dirge.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Just not in this city.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
You guys gotta bury me unceremoniously, without any bullshit chemicals to preserve the body, and plant a tree on top of me.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
These formal pants that make my ass look glorious, and a red button shirt.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Fighting with my teachers and ending up being right all along.
11. What's your favorite band?
Kaisers Orchestra, James Carter and whatever group he's carrying, and the Atomic Fireballs.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm aiming for the economics PhD
13. Why did you join?
Before this little questionnaire, I already was.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Male.
Wanted to see how much I've changed without being snarky about it.

Welcome to g.net. How do you feel about the heavily rumored Back to the Future reboot?

Welcome, we need more members with a gorgeous ass.
(Reminds me that when I first joined I thought you were female Haha!) You may end up being the first member on Gnet with a PhD when that day comes.

When I joined, I wasn't sure about that either. I can't remember why for the life of me.

His old name was Godslayer Jillian, which I interpreted as a female name.

I'm watching the dumb movie Purge: Election Year right now, and a guy in it just said,
"Every night in Juarez was like the purge."
Immediately thought about you, Alan Too bad you aren't here anymore to comment on this.
