I knew I was feeling worse than normal when I got off of work last night but I figured that I had just overexerted myself and that I would be okay in the morning, not so much. I blame the parents who bring their sick kids through the maze, you would think that we could turn away people with uncontrollable coughing or sneezing but no they get to come trough and get very close to us, in some cases coughing and sneezing less than six inches away from our faces, this on top of the strain of working for 12 hours jumping around and the higher-ups still wonder why they keep having people call out.

Why does the work week always seem sooooo much longer than the weekend? I think there's some inequity going on here. I think I'm going to protest to the universe about this.

My lungs feel like they are on fire. I've had a sore throat for the past few days but it wasn't this bad, today I worked in inventory from 3-11 and I guess all the dust from the towels I had to scan is making it worse. Feels like I smoked a pack of cigarettes.

And I can't go get ice cream because the 24 hour grocery store closes for a few hours sunday nights, god dammit.

I was talking to the cleaning lady at the hospital where I work and she finally set me straight on one thing. (She's Bosnian. They're smart like that). She explained to me why so much crazy stuff happens where I work on Sunday. It's very simple. Sunday is my Monday. I told her crazy stuff also happens on Monday. She informed me that Monday is everybody elses' Monday -- so I get Monday'd twice a week! (Lucky me). That SUCKS. That explains why every Sunday, without fail, I misplace my name tag and EVERY Sunday, without fail, the same cop marks my tires and tries to have my car towed off as an abandoned vehicle, just because I park where I work. (Go figure). I'M SO RELIEVED!! Here, all this time, I thought it was me -- like maybe I was jinxed or something, when it all amounts to this -- I'm being Monday'd to death. Woohoo.
