The Great Gatsby and Baz Luhrmann

So, Baz Luhrmann made an adaptation of The Great Gatsby that will be coming out this year. It's been a few years since I read the book, definitely plan to get it out of the library again before the movie release. Anyway, I think this looks promising. Thoughts? Think you'll be seeing this in theaters?

I should read the book soon so I can complain about the adaptation XD

But I'd totally go see it. God help me, I'm a DiCaprio fan.

My English 2 professor was frickin awesome about the stuff he picked for the English class to read.

Gatzby was one of them

Death of a Salesman was another

Uncle Tom's Children was another (my favorite)

'Tis (second favorite)

But basically, there seemed to be this interesting insertion of class conscious books he had us read. I always thought he was a dick at the start of the semester, but he ended up being one of the most badass professors I've had so far.

Is that the 'Tis that was the sequel to Angela's Ashes? I read Ashes and loved it, but didn't get around to 'Tis yet.

Yes. 'Tis is very good. I think in light of the talks we've been having lately on here, 'Tis would almost be required reading. It's good stuff.

My sister has a copy and I should get around to it, but both the book and the movie version of Angela's Ashes made me bawl like a baby and I'm afraid 'Tis will do it too.

'Tis isn't sad. It's actually kind of funny. I had it on audio book.
