GOP Candidates

The primaries are fast approaching. I have some opinons about who I might vote for, but everyone seems evenly matched.

I don't like Huckabee. His whole platform is not liking mormons or abortion.

Romney seems nice.

Alan Keyes isn't in the news at all, but seems very qualified.

Ron Paul is running. . . again. Might be nice if he won one primary.

McCain is ahead. The whole insulting Asians and being accused of being a racist issue was cleared up. He is like a repeat.

Giuliani is nice but can he handle International Relations?

I don't know. Here is a site with more information, but it is hard deciding.

I'm not a repub, but I do like Ron Paul. He's actually a libertarian, which is a platform I can support.

As far as Schwarzenegger, he's actually not that bad as well. Even though he claims to be a repub, he has many left wing policies in place, and has challenged many of his own parties policies - the most recent being the EPA ruling.

That being said, he had his wedding in Austria. Why is this an issue? Because some of his guest, friends of his father, are former SS concentration camp wanted men who only have asylum in Austria. Yes, his father was an SS. Does that mean he is a bad person? No, but the fact he would have a wedding outside the country so wanted men, former concentration camp officers, could attend does add a certain stigmata to his character.

I mean, hitler was probably a nice guy as well in social settings. That being said inviting him to your wedding would not be good for any political career.

Never heard those rumors. Please post some links and evidence.

And although ron paul says some good things.. I think he's a total loon, just like Byrd from West virginia.

Ron Paul always runs as a Republican. After he doesn't make it in the primaries he runs as an Independent. He isn't a Libertarian.

In fact, some of the people who became President use his ideas later on in their Presidency. If he finally won a primary that would be great. I think he should focus on a governorship. Most people think he can't win. Other than that he is a really intelligent and thoughtful person.

The Terminator can't run. He isn't a native.

Ron Paul makes a lot of sense. American politics do not. Hence, you'll never see him anywhere in a seat of prominent influence.
