Eyebrows: Drawn on vs. Natural
How do people on here feel? I've just recently shaved mine off and I draw them on every day now and I really like the effect, but it's a pain in the ass to get them perfect and often i'll have to redraw them two or three times to get them right :/

I drew mine on for ages (waxing them off), and loved doing it, but I didn't do 'straight' eyebrows, I drew squiggles and hearts. I don't do it anymore because my boss freaks out slightly about things like that.

I kinda like the natural shape of my eyebrows. I would like to experiment with the look of no eyebrows, though.
Did you know you can cover eyebrows with a washable gluestick and foundation?

I'd never be able to put in the effort every morning that drawn on eyebrows requires.
Plus, I find they look good on very few people. Since I have no idea how to properly draw eyebrows, I would be one of them. I'd probably look similar to >=] most of the time.

LOL CaRT!
I agree that lots of people don't do a good job drawing on brows. IF I were to ever draw on my own brows I think I would invest in a brow stencil kit.
My brows are naturally thick and dark. I've pondered more than once drawing on my brows just to see the different looks. I don't think covered up brows would work well for me because mine are so thick.

Unfuckingbelievable!
I hate drag queens. And I love them.
And this seems easier and cheaper than I previously thought. I think I'll play with glue sticks this weekend!

Fear not, for I am a Mother who only allows "washable" items through my door!

I draw my eyebrows on everyday. I don't shave them off though, I just pluck really thin so if I ever change my mind I can just not draw them. I've been wanting to make it permanent though, I've been thinking about getting the hair lasered off and getting them tattooed on. I have a lot of time to decide that though.

I've been doing the shave 'n draw thing on and off for about 3 years, and I do enjoy the fact that I am able to change it up when I feel like it. My natural brows are sparse and shapeless, and I don't like the way they look, especially when I am in full makeup. I dye my hair black, and I use a charcoal pencil for my brows (Palladio brand from Sally's), as black pencil looks too harsh for me. When I'm not in makeup I just draw a natural looking curve, but when I do full makeup I put a nice high, dramatic arch.
I did have to practice quite a bit to get them looking decent, and even now I have some days where I just can't get them right. I seem to do them best when I'm half asleep in the car with the visor mirror
As for covering up your brows, I have also heard that using liquid latex works. It's probably more expensive than a gluestick but I have heard it gives a better texture. If I was unsure about shaving, I would probably do the coverup a few times and practice drawing them on that way to see if that's what I really wanted, because growing them back out IS a pain!

I haven't had real eyebrows for ages... They just don't grow in anymore haha
I adore being able to change the color and shape as needed, and it's also handy for costume makeup that requires no brows/for you to cover your natural ones.
As far as covering goes, gluestick, liquid latex, or scar wax are all good options!

There's a tutorial for covering your eyebrows on youtube that shows the glue stick method vs the eyebrow wax method. There seem to be less steps overall for the way, but i feel like it's harder to cover the actual color of the eyebrows if yours tend to be dark or very thick. If you have the time, i'd say stick with the glue.
I plan on trying it out with my bf who has extremely thick, black eyebrows.

Mine are my own natural brows. But I do my best to get them professionally waxed every two weeks. That way they stay shapely and thin (naturally I have really thick heavy brows) and I don't have to fuss with drawing them on every day.

I guess if you have the patience do to them every day, and don't mind waking up an extra 20 minutes to do them every morning.
I've shaved mine off for years, and absolutely love doing it!
Different colours/shapes everyday. It's great!

personally i go for strategic plucking and penciling in...
i find the only problem with completely removing your eyebrows is that the effect can be most disconcerting for your partner first thing in the morning
its an effect that looks great on some people and hideous on others... i for one look ridiculous with completely penciled eyebrows as i learned to my horror a couple of decades ago...
no, still not phant... maybe tomorrow?

I have gone eyebrowless exactly ONCE in my entire life. It was far, far too annoying to draw them in every day. Now I get them threaded and get the classic fifties exaggerated arch done. For someone who hardly ever wears makeup anymore, the choice was pretty obvious.

My eyebrows are quite heavy naturally so I just neaten them with tweezers and then use a dark brown eyeshadow to powder them in. It's a nice halfway home between natural brows and drawn-on ones.

I've been toying with the idea of shaving my eyebrows because they grow uneven and the awkward way they grow makes it extremely difficult to pluck them evenly without making them too short. (They're uneven as of now but not too bad).
I just don't know if I can make the committment of drawing them on everyday, or even getting them even.

Used to draw them on, hated how much time it took though, now I just fill in my natural brows. I use a combination of light penciling in and some eye-shadow.

I usually fill mine in with black eyeshadow using an angled brush. It helps even them out some.

l never touch mine and people somehow think they are drawn on. The most I do is tint and slight shaping with eyeshadow to match my hair colour of the day. I could never do something that needed to be done every day. I'm up at 5am for uni so makeup is minimal if any.
