Welcome... And yeah... This place is full of flamers and cyberbullies and whatnot. I rarely ever come here, there are much better places Anyway, welcome either way and yes I would say your taste in music is... Disagreeable, ahem... But we're all different!

If you want to hear the most amazing voice there is I would recommend Diamanda Galás--> http://mx.youtube.com/watch?v=6sLDAMpiDmY

Welcome Ms. Crowbar. Your taste in music will get you attacked regardless of what you answer so don't worry too much. I think Kiss is the only band I've never seen in an introduction before. Some members have suggested some excellent bands to check out and there is always the "what are you currently listening to" thread as well.

Did you write this list off the top of your head? It could reveal insight into your mental organizing system, like a word association game. But I can't knock them. They're all excellent within their respective fields.

And Tom Waits is the shit. I have 5 of his CDs myself....and he was the best Renfield ever.

You are interesting Ms Crowbar. What sort of tales do you write?
I like to listen to certain music when I write. Do you as well?

Piss off Uni, you unimaginative bitch. You are in dire need of a reality check as Ice Cube would put it...

A' Ms Crowbar...

Do ignore the negativity and welcome here to the boards and please do post whatever you like to write in the literature section.

Cheers.

JCC, there's nothing wrong with a healthy dosage of diverse music mixed in with the classic.

Ms. Crowbar, welcome aboard. Don't worry about being flamed. Here, you will be flamed, roasted, shredded, barbecued in sauce and served on a toasted sesame seed bun, (and for 99 cents more, they will supersize that real meal deal). However, if you learn to develop a thick skin, you will survive. So, post some lit. BTW Flogging Molly is okay.

That seriously makes me want to shove a pencil into my neck.

Johnny Cash?
His music is good, too.
I don't have him on my iPod, though....
My Grandad has an album that's got "Ghost Riders In The Sky" and "Ring Of Fire".
Infact, "Ring Of Fire" was one of the first songs I learned on my guitar.
My Dad loves The Beatles and Pink Floyd.
@ HumanePain: Thanks. I like writing horror (or my interpretation of Horror, however bad it may be), some Romance stories with unhappy endings. I also write Gothic Fantasy and I'm attempting to write Erotica aswell, allthough, I'm finding it hard to write descriptions in great detail without feeling uncomfortable.
@ Necrophagist: I find it hard to take your username seriously, seeings how a Necrophagist (Even thought it's the name of a band) was originally the name given to a mythical monster who ate the flesh of the decaying dead in Graveyards. Well, the correct term is "Necrophage".
Do you eat the flesh of the dead?
Edit: I've just listened to Necrophagist (the band). Not exactly my cup of tea....
I'll make a note to check out this Tom Waits that people keep on mentioning.
Hey, don't knock it till' you try it.

Anyone who eats meat eats the flesh of the dead....unless you like to gnaw it directly from the bone of still bleating animals. Altho, now that I think of it, we probably have some members here who would enjoy that.

The point, my friend, is that we're a Hell of a lot more healthier than our Vegan and Vegitarian friends.
You get lots more vitamins out of being a Fish-eater than you do when you eat nothing but beans, pulses, nuts and plants.
I hate the taste of land meat. Infact, more than once, I found myself gagging after taking a bite out of any form of meat and poultry, even well-cooked meat and poultry.
I eat fish. That's was being Pescetarian is.
Allthough, I do dislike Tofu and Nut Roast.
Vile stuff....

Are you pescetarian because of your ethics or because you just don't like meat?

I don't like land meat, no.
It makes me feel ill.
Nothing to with the fact that it was killed rather violently.

Well, as long as you don't care about killing animals pescetarianism isn't stupid.

Crowbar, just so you know, fish are treated just as inhumanely as other animals raised for food.

Also, pescetarianism isn't anymore healthy than being a vegan who takes vitamins.

Vegetarians and vegans can be very healthy actually, as long as they make sure they get enough protein, iron, vitamins, etc, in other types of food. I am a vegetarian and I don't have any noted health problems that are out of the ordinary.
