Uni's title was offensive, but I haven't seen Tam get upset about that.

I found Uni herself to be more offensive than her user title...

That ship sailed a long time ago; I said what I had to say about it way back when it first became an issue. After the controversey died down, I figured there was no point in bringing it back up constantly.

As it is, I never said word one about Albert's title either until now; I figured there was no point in saying anything since nothing could be done about it.

If you really want to know, though, I didn't appreciate Uni's title either.

Did you live in a mansion as a child or something?

No, Albert, I did not. If I had, I might not mind such things as much.

Childhood trauma tends to make one averse to certain things.

I doubt you have worse 'traumas' than mine. You can unzip your brain, flip them out, and we'll see who has the bigger trauma.

I was referring to your 'I want it my way!!111' attitude. Some people tolerate stuff.

Mondy: Never said anything about mine being worse than yours. Just said that trauma can make a person averse to certain things.

Why the need to compare notes?

I think this is going a bit far. We don't need an admin crusade that tackles little things like user titles and the like. That's petty stuff.

I don't know why; I haven't done anything ban-worthy, I don't believe.

If you have an issue with me, then PM me, or just put me on ignore. [Seriously, you -don't- have to look at or read -anything- I post here if you don't want to. If you continue to do willingly read my posts when you have other options available to you, then that's -your- fault, not mine.]

Your idiocy has offended me, along with many others here. The new gnet policy is to remove that which has been judged as offensive, and so I move that you be banned from the forum. To ignore you is not sufficient, the mere knowledge that you continue to post on the boards would be too massively offensive for me to endure. Indeed, even if I were to leave gnet, I would remain aware that you were yet visiting the board, posting on it, polluting it, and would thus never cease to be deeply, agonizingly offended. There is only one way to resolve this.

GM: Like I said, if you have an issue with me, then let's try and resolve it. Send me a PM about what I've done that's offended you so deeply, and I'll be more than happy to work it out with you.

This goes out to anyone else I've offended as well.

Why would I invite the possibility of further offense? I'm sorry, Tam, but your previous conduct has convinced me that you're incapable of cogitating an innocuous, noninflammatory thought. PMing you would provoke you to respond, which response I am sure would merely exacerbate the problem. You're just too offensive, I am grieved that it must to be this way.

I admit, both me and Albert had somewhat edgy taglines. But you cannot censor, gothic.net. So much worse shit is going on here than someone stating their sexual practices.

There is a huge difference between asking someone to reel it in a little to reduce the number of complaints they are getting and some sort of widespread censorship.

That wasn't the problem anyway. If someone is consistently bothering people and acting childish and trollish, asking them to perhaps tone it down a little is not 'objecting to their sexual practices' it's objecting to their penchant for trying to push people's buttons because they apparently enjoy the disruption. If you see worse, report it, heck, we even have a new infractions system that gives you more options for addressing it yourself.

the problem is people rising to it. If nobody appeared to give a shit, Albert would get bored and either leave or become a less inflammatory member. Take away the self-righteous shit-for-brains who take this place far too seriously and there's not really anybody to get a rise out of.

In response to the whole Tam thing:
Why should anyone have to pussyfoot around things because they might hit a nerve with some member of an internet forum.
No-one else gets so pissy about people mentioning stuff that fucked them up or caused them to have issues.
It's not like people on here haven't said things that hit nerves with me, but I i don't feel that it justifies me summoning a shit-storm of "I object that someone who doesn't know me and never will said something that hit a nerve because it relates to something unpleasant in my personal life"

Now if the idea of skullfucking doesn't sit so well in your head, so be it. But it's the internet, there's a hell of a lot of stuff worse than that. I'm sure there are a lot of things that would hit nerves deeper than someone's personal note on here.

There's a distinct difference between asking and forcing. You're disrupting our tradition of leaving people the fuck alone.

I don't intend to offend people. I just don't care. It was my understanding that that was pretty much how GNet worked.
