I made my visits less frequent because frankly all the spam bots took away the fun of the place.
I am surprised there aren't any today. Maybe I will start posting more frequently again.
But yeah, I went from 6 posts a day to 6 a month. Spam bots. And I have a life. I read more than surf the net.

This is one of those times of the year that eat up a lot of time. If you are in school then you have all sorts of final projects due soon, if you work in the hospitality industry there are a lot of new policies and new hires to prep for the summer season, if you work in finances it is tax season (at least in the US, I have no idea how the fiscal year is laid out elsewhere), and if you work retail you get to deal with hoards of people spending their tax refunds.
Less time means fewer posts, and less involved posts which don't really spark much discussion.
That and the spam bots are fucking obnoxious.

Shit, I haven't done my taxes yet. Turbotax will let you do it for free online if you're poor, right?

Yes, www.turbotax.com or www.taxact.com will both allow you to file your federal taxes for free. And one friend ran her tax return through both and found one of them gave her a larger return. I can't remember which one, though.

I haven't been posting as much because now that I've been working I'm a bit busier than I was.

Bah, they charge you 30 bucks to file state on TurboTax. Oh well, I only get nine bucks back for that, I can file through snail mail.

Yeah, they all want money for filing state forms. But at least you're done!
I'm drinking a toast to you having that burdensome duty done for one more year.

All of the I.T. companies I work with (myself included) are in the middle of busy season because of all the new Q1 technology rollouts.

Just me? Or is everyone getting bored of Gnet?

I've never been able to muster up enough interest to post regularly here, I guess due to the fact that most people here are pretty fuknboring.

I'm kinda mad because I did my taxes at H&R Block, and I've been doing it there for years. They keep 15% of your return and i wasn't expecting half of what I got, and I got a lot more than I ever did, so I didn't think it would be a big deal. But they took over a hundred dollars, and then last week I got a coupon in my email saying "Pay only $35 for your return since you're a returning customer!" Bitch, say what?
I've been trying to fill up my spare time like crazy, it seems no matter how many extra hours I work, no matter how much time I try to spend at the center, or how much time I spend with friends, I still spend a lot of time bored on the internet. Maybe its because I dont' sleep, but still.

PJ- I claim school as my excuse as well.
This quarter is going to take more effort on my part than the last because these subjects are not my strengths.
I have posted a handful of times, but don't really have much to say. When it comes to pictures posting I don't want to seem like an attention seeker.
The SPAM Bots were playing into it for a while too.

WTF? Why did my edit post feature get taken away? I thought we could edit?
Wanted to edit to add that the white on black hurts my eyes. I'd like reading and posting here if the contrast wasn't so harsh. There's many ways to 'color' a forum and not kill the members eyes in the process. So because of that I'm usually only on this forum for half an hour before everything is blurry and my optic nerves feel like they've been stung by a swarm of Africanized bees =(

You can only edit a post within 5 minutes of posting it.

At least the default text color is actually silver, not actually white, which would cause a lot more strain. Though you could always color your posts personally I like pink and dark slate blue but I'm too lazy to regularly color my posts.

I have the opposite problem, when I'm on a forum with white background and black text I feel like its too bright.

Yeah, tax season is over. I'm sure that will make a difference.
