The Returned
French supernatural horror-drama type thing that's currently airing on Channel 4. It's very good: understated for the most part - check out the Twin Peaks-esque feel and killer opening sequence & credits - but with just enough grim to keep the die-hard violence fans satisfied.
(Personally I could live without that element, but I'm guessing they were worried about boring the audience... shame, but I guess you can't have everything. Still, it's good at what it does, and has the nuanced, subtle, creeping into your head rather than settling for making you jump angle down.)
