19th Birthday

Well it's my birthday today but youknow what would be nice? If every year we got somthing new we were old enough to do.

18: you're an adult, otherwise aging just gets boring
19: you're allowed to throw water balloons at random people if they see you first
20: you get to burn leaves without a permit
21: drinking legaly
22: you're allowed to ambush people with water balloons.
23: you can own handguns
24:

Yep I'm bored, but I asked for the Dark Knight DVD which I believe came out just yesterday.

Happy Birthday.

At 25 you can rent cars and you get a break on your car insurance.

It's downhill from there.

Thank you everyone. Also it seems that the problem my father has been having with his heart recently was just a simple hole (1 put of 4 people have one, it's not life threatening, just less efficient) so he won't be dying anytime soon from that.

A very good friend of mine where I used to work had a hole in her heart too, she used to become easily winded and tired from just climbing halfway up the stairs. After surgery corrected the problem she became very active in Western style horseback riding and active in general, her quality of life greatly improved.

Is the prognosis that your father get surgery for his?

Yeah, I know someone with the same (or rather similar) issue and they had the surgery and had a damn near normal, active life. Then they got hit by a bus. True story.

But it is absolutely amazing what they can do tiwth the herat these days- and that these crazy surgeries are getting more commonplace. I am sorry you have reason to worry about your father, but grateful you have even more reason to hope.

And happy birthday!

At 30, you get people buying pity shots for your aging ass

He hasn't spoken with a Cardiologist yet, he merely got back the good news from a series of tests he has been going through this week. We were rather worried for awhile that he might be rendered disabled, and given our current financial status it would effectively ruin us.
