Rant one:

I don't get laid. Even in my fucking dreams.
Seriously. Last night, having a fun little dream. I WOKE UP BEFORE I GOT TO THE DAMN GOOD PART.

Ruined my whole day.

Rant two:

Do people not know how to secure their wireless network? Seriously. I'm looking at a bunch of networks in my neighborhood, all unprotected, and they all say "linksys". Gee. That's not hard to crack.

If you have a wireless network, for fuck's sake, please, take a few minutes to do what I'm about to say. You'll be infinitely more protected because of it.

- Change the default password on your router.
- Change the default SSID on your router.
- Use WPA2 + AES or WPA2 + TKIP. If don't have WPA2, then make sure you either have a hellishly long key, or buy a new router.
- Stop SSID broadcasting.
- Use a good wireless key. This means:
* A minimum of 8 characters.
* A mix of numbers, letters, and symbols.
* No dictionary words.
* No birthdays.
* No names.
* It's actually best if you get a randomly generated password from a place like here: https://secure.pctools.com/guides/password/
- Change default login from HTTP to HTTPS.
- Use a Mac Address filter. Only let your own devices on your network.
- Shut it down if you're not going to use it for a long time. (Longer then two weeks).

If you need help setting it up, send me a PM or get ahold of me on MSN, and I'll point you in the right direction. Just, for the love of god, keep away from default! Using default makes baby Jesus cry.

There are a few errors in your guide. At least two (or three, depending on how one looks at it) points in it are no hinder whatsoever to a dedicated wardriver.

My girlfriend is angry at me. I fear it could even mean the end of our relationship.
She has been for about two weeks(?) and my two best (female) friends know what she is mad at me for. I'm beyond it myself. I can't seem to figure out what I've done. We had a fight about her thinking I think about sex or other physical activities of that nature during out time alone, but she told me that it's not what this fight's about. As far as that, I can't actually see anything I've done.

She's been pretty upset since her parents started to split up and seems to not want me to help her whatsoever. Not do anything... I don't even think she loves me. I get messages telling me not to tel her I love her anymore...

I feel really hurt Gnet.

She doesn't sound like a good person. She may very well be frustrated that her parents split up, but it's not ok for her to take it out on you.

I got slapped by that one girl who works at the store my fater is buying, made a horrible "first" impression. She caught me staring at her, and I guess she thought I was staring at her breasts... and.... okay... for a moment I was... eh. I screwed things up with her before I even learned her name.

I know. Technically none of it will stop a really determined wardriver (I'm guessing you're thinking changing the default SSID, changing from HTTP to HTTPS and maybe the Mac Address filter, which can be spoofed). However, for all practical purposes, it makes it a severe pain in the ass to break in too. It also makes your network look like the lesser of two choices between you and a default router with no encryption/password or even one using WEP.

Not to say that staring at a woman's breast is okay, but it's not uncommon; it sounds like this chick over-reacted to me, and that she could have just as easily gotten your attention another, less violent way.

Maybe you could go to her and apologize, and just explain to her that she's very pretty, so it was hard for you not to stare. [Be sure to look at her face and into her eyes when you do this.

Well, perhaps not say that exact phrase.

Just apologize, and say something like, "I'm sorry I was staring, but I couldn't help it because you're very pretty." Or something along those lines.
