I thought I would share this with you because of how much I like you fellows.
I recently discovered the joy of outlet shopping. I've been looking for a new laptop ever since I had to sell off my macbook pro last summer. I just sealed the deal on a new thinkpad.
There is no convenient way to search the site that I know of, but in between stripped down models there are some fantastic deals.
I just got the following config for $780.00 -
Thinkpad T500
Intel Core2 Duo T9400 (2.53 GHz, 6MB LS, 1066 MHz FSB)
Vista Business
15.4 WXGA TFT w/ CFL Backlight
2GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067 MHz SODIMM
160 GB HDD, 7200rpm
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim
Intel 802.11agn wireless
9 cell Li-Ion Battery
Bluetooth
ATI Mobility Radeon 3650 with 256MB
Free laptop bag! Woo!
OK, so I'm not all that thrilled about Vista, and a nicer screen (LCD backlight) would have been cool, but otherwise it is hard to find a new laptop with these features at that kind of price point. It takes a little digging, but you might find something cool.
