Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Yeah, I hear you. Sometimes, the only way to get it right, is to do it yourself.

PS--Of course it was with a needle! No one should get pierced with a gun, anywhere.

If you want a painful piercing, get an inverse navel. That hurt pretty badly. I mean, of course it was worth it and everything, but you can feel the rip all the way through.

You want excruciating pain? I'll give you excruciating pain, just hand me the needle and tell me where you want it to hurt.

Mondays are painful in themselves, fortunately for me yesterday I had the opportunity to stay home from school. I'm regretting it now though. *gazes at pile of homework*

Cool, I like it. I'm thinking about piercing my own ears. I want my cartilage pierced (at the top, like Voltaire's, STFU!), my tragus and a third hole in my lobe.

I had mine pierced like his, and then I got one down on my rook so I could wear it industrial style.

Versatility is a major plus in fashion. Just ask Xng if you don't believe me.

I agree with that. Fashion can get annoying though, speaking from a broad point of view.

I like the look of rooks, but my piercer doesn't do any of the real intricate ear piercings. Lobes, Cartilages, Industrials. That's all. Industrials look nice, but I should probably just stay away from the ear piercings. My ears are really sensitive, and tend to get mad when they are pierced. Evil bitches. I seen something really cool the other day. Someone had an industrial going through their anti tragus into their tragus. Not very common.

Does anyone know how to get an internship with a piercer or just become one?

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with beauty school, or training to be one. I am not quite sure mind you. It would probably be best to ack your own piercer what the procedure is for it.

Yes. He doesn't do some piercings because he doesn't feel comfortable doing them. He does most of the common piercings like lip, tongue, nose, eyebrow... Where I live, piercings aren't very popular, so that's really all that anyone ever asks for. Sometimes I do wonder about him though. I remember I asked him if he would do my scrumper and he didn't know what it was. All my piercings by him have came out fine, and he has an autoclave and uses sterile tools and procedures... that's really what matters to me. I don't have much choice when it comes to piercing in my area. It's either the guy I go to, or the lady in town who reuses her needles. Her cleaning procedure is soaking the needles in a solution and drying them on papertowels. Uh.. I'll pass.

I wasn't sure if it was. I've seriously been thinking about taking my case to the health department or something. I have friends who go to her (even after I advise them not to) and although their piercings come out ok most of the time, that's not really the issue. I warn them that they might find out they have AIDS ten years from now. It's half joke/half not. That could easily happen after reusing needles. I want to do something about it though. I've talked to her, and she really has no clue what the fuck she is doing. I buy jewelry from her store sometime, although I refused to get pierced there. I went in asking for a CBR and she didn't have a clue. I was at a loss.

By all means report her! There are so many diseases that are spread through sharing needles. It's not safe for her, or her patients, and I think you'd be doing her a favor by reporting her.
