Gothic Prom??

Can you guys think of anything that might be a better choice or does this work?

That's a black poet shirt, BTW, and I also have a black tailcoat hanging up in the closet, just for a bit of info for ya.

I like the outfit except for the stockings. I don't think they work too well, they take away from the formality it could have. Maybe just plain black dress pants, or really tight pants?

For a prom I'd go the first pic but instead of the shorts and those stockings I’d put on a nice pair of pants (The pants from the second pic would be perfect BTW). The long coat and shorts combination looks a little awkward for a prom IMHO.

It's the same thing, Saddy. The shirt is the exact same shirt in both pics. The only difference is the coat or no coat and the pants.

ah.. well then, I s'pose I agree with the ensemble considering that coats can be removed at any point in the evening. Just don't forget the goggles... or the boots

I would suggest the coat and shirt from the first picture, with the pants sort of semi tucked into the boots. Tuck the ends in and let the rest sort of float-ish over the top. That way, you see the pants and the boots without going too extreme.

I'm sort of dying myself at the moment, because I have to walk into a room full of grownups who I don't know wearing something nice. So I'm wearing an anle-length sort of loose knit/mesh type skirt with a black underlayer with a non-waist-cinching corset and a black bead choker. My make-up is so pretty. I look pretty and rather regal, if I may say so myself. Mayhaps I'll post a picture later on...

I really like this look. The coat would look good with this also.
