"That's Not in my American History Book!" by Ayres. Lovely odd tidbits that slipped through the cracks of US history

Its the concise edition.

Hey, so am I. She sure seems to be into the dark-haired babes and North Carolina back roads. Hm. Interesting.

I loved that book. The only thing that really annoyed me was that Frankenstein and the Monster kept trying to one-up each other on how miserable they were. "You damn monster, you're ruining my life! I have no sympathy for you! You're horrid! You've killed my brother and my friend and my wife...." "Oh, you think you're miserable! Well, I've been rejected by everyone who's seen me based on the fact that I'm fugly..."
Frankenstein: You made the monster. It's your fault, your responsibility, and you didn't handle it properly.
Monster: Welcome to Humanity.
I still loved the book. I want to read it again now, but I left it at home. *offers cheek for slapping* Go ahead, I deserve it...

Yes, good luck!

At the moment, I'm reading several books (again); "Frankenstein", Mary Shelley - "The Black Arts", Richard Cavendish and the "Canterbury Tales", Chaucer are those I'm trying to finish at the moment. I'm also trying to find the time to finish Leroux' "The Phantom of the Opera" and Albert Camus' "L'Homme Révolté" (translated, as my French isn't what it used to be).
