Introduction

indigoHello and Happy Monday.

Anyway, I apologize first off if this is a repeat post. I do not have a good memory these days and I do not believe I have posted before. If I am wrong in this, please excuse me. I have looked to see if I have posted a thread before and I did not see anything so here ... I use this thread to post my introduction in a manner which, I hope, is proper for this on line community:

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

I am a temporary office grunt and I http://www.kittysjewelry.com .

2. Where are you from?

Originally? Chicago, Illinois.

3. Who is your favorite author?

Sorry, but there are many that I like. Here are a few:
I read Anne Rice, P.N. Enrod, Clive Barker, Stephen King, Andea Dean Von Scoyoc, Poppy Z. Brite and John Grisham novels.
Also, I pick up different books on a whim at used book stores.
Yes, I read a lot!

4. What are your favorite films?

I prefer (quality) horror movies and if they are REALLY BAD.... funny B movies that are so bad that they are good! (They have to be REALLY bad though to be good!) I also like Shawshank Redemption, Sling Blade, and a number of other movies that can't come to mind just now.<br><br>

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

I am married and they did not play any music. I eloped and got married at the J.P. and I fainted anyway! Kind of does not matter now, yes?

6. At your funeral?

Don't know, don't care because I won't be there!

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

In my sleep. I know, how friggin' boring!

8. What kind of casket would you want?

None. I don't want my husband wasting the money. Just donate the carcass to science and call it a day.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

A long black dress that shows what little cleavage I have! ha ha.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

Ignorance.

11. What's your favorite band?

King Crimson

The Peeping Tom Project?

Oh, well, no. I do not have experience with that one.

Mostly Court of the Crimson King.

I started listening to King Crimson back in college.

As far as Geddy Lee and Rush, it was my main influence as a bassist.

I love Robert Fripp's guitar playing. As for Mike Patton, Fantomas is another awesome project that you'd probably like. Anyway, howdy!

A bassist? OH PERSEPHONE! CALLING PERSEPHONEX!!! (She's a bass player too)

Seriously, you are like the 5th chick bass player that has joined in the last 3 or 4 months. I love King Crimson too. And you are not an old lady. I was in college in the 70's (Golden West College in Huntington Beach California).

Welcome.

Whoa welcome. I'm sure you'll find yourself very at home here. Just a friendly tip: when you use HTML tags on these boards, the command goes in [ ] brakets instead of < > ones. I have the same trouble when I first joined

Well, I did work as a professional bassist years ago. See...
it's kind of like this:

I should mention that I used to be a bassist back in Chicago then in Atlanta in a number of bands. Quite a colorful history behind me, I'll admit.

Anyway.... I went to music college right out of high school and graduated a half year early because I wanted to "get on with my life" and "retire young". Well, looks like I got my wish....sort of. Be careful what you wish for, folks. It's not all bad, really. Just feelings of uselessness plague my head from time to time.

ANYWAY..... (cutting out a lot of stupid drama here)

The Chicago music scene was getting to be a real pain in the ass. It was comparable to a druggie daycare center.

At present..... I really do not have time for other peoples' addictions and nonsense. Don't get me wrong.......I'd love to do the music thing again, but it seems that too many issues stem from it, as was my common experience years ago. Many, it seems people not being responsible for their own issues.

ANYWAY...

I am also pretty old now and my husband really does not approve of me getting back into the band scene (WHAT band scene? This is Tampa!) at this time. Maybe if it were all female band members it might be ok though.

nice. 'peeping tom' is a mike patton project actually.

get back into music. tampa is huge for underground death metal. i think erik rutan from hate eternal/morbid angel lives down there. when i was touring with 'morning again' all of the guys in that band except for the drummer were from fort lauderdale. they always talked about bands from tampa.

jam it out yo.
