Leave it to E_E to put it delicatly.

I swear at one point this thread had a purpose.

Well, at least now we know which noobs shouldn't be classified as breeders, anyway.

Ya Xnguela. I know you're the moderator and you have to keep a watch on things, but some comments haven't been very productive.

As for the thread, I notice the prejudice all the time. At the University I attended, they would often put down the art students and say things like, "Do something with your hair." or "Your not college material." It was just because they look different.

Think my grades were also slanted, because even though I kept track of all my grades, should have gotten an "A," but the teachers leave a small part of the grade for their opinion of the student. Often got a "B" but I didn't say anything about it.

They probably think I'm washed up and not anyone they couldn't afford to do without because I'm not the cookie cutter person that looks like everyone else. It's sad really, because just as much as they don't like me, there are plenty of people that think they are just average.

Can't believe that anyone would try making that a law. Creed is also a right protected by the constitution. People can wear or look however they want. It's not a crime.

What the frell?!? It's a little late for MA to be panicking over Columbine. I mean, if they want to institute a dress code that's one thing but to focus on goths? That's frelled up. Seriously.

I suggest getting on the school boardmembers' asses and demanding they get ris of that stupid policy if they implemented it already.

Also the Columbine jerks were never proven to be gothic in the first place. I doubt they were gothic at all. Probably the real Goths also enjoy making fun of them, which helped fuel the fire of hatred. Probably if they were goth, they wouldn't associate black with depression or anger. (More like sex and whining.)

Meh. Massachusetts isn't as good as I thought it was. I didn't know they are trying to ban the goth , but I do know there's a law that says women cannot be on top during sex (it said so in "the most stupid laws of America")

people - i'll say this again -

massachusetts sucks for many reasons, john kerry and ted kennedy being two of the biggest, however there is neither a ban nor an attempt to ban goths here.

i don't know where this thread came from but the debate is pointless.

well everyone says goth is a fad,...or fashion in other words.
And all fashion wears out, but some people have thick foreheads and can't realize that goth is a lifestyle.
If they ban goth then that means that I'll have to go to funerals dressed in a bright neon dress,....or anywhere in bright neon!

Ban goth? why not prep? or the abercrombie and bitch people?!!!

The aesthetic combinations they make with their products are amazing, regardless if it's not my style.

All I've noticed is that my school throws the dress code (that doesn't actually HAVE a rule against them) at me for my cat-ears... but doesn't target the girls in the too-short skirts (fingertip legnth) or the shirts that are so low we get to see their bras... or the pants that are 'laced' all the way up... you know those ones... where the lacing isn't tight and you can see leg the whole way up to a girls hip... yeah... noone says a worrdddd... but I cannot be in a t-shirt and pants... with cat ears...

I live in Massachusetts btw

Also, I'm quite interested to hear more about the possibility of banning goth looks. Is there some article about it? It seems like a straightforward fachism to me.
